After rewatching the Miss St game, seeing Brennan’s performance. It’s no wonder why Chase felt he could only hurt his draft stock. Key moment in the 4th qt where Marshall got frustrated by MB missing open reads was very telling.
Not saying MB won’t improve or that JC didn’t already have good reason to opt out but I definitely get it even more now
Chase's decision was certainly reasonable. I doubt it had anything to do with Brennan. Keep in mind that Marshall had a big day.
And, I can pretty much guarantee that, if anything, a Brennan that is having trouble seeing the field would have been focusing on Chase.

Can we quit saying “opt out”?
Chase quit.
You can justify WHY he quit with whatever reason you want. But he quit.

Nevermind.......I'm sure none of that made any sense to you. Carry on.

I’m confused about this comment. It’s completely ignorant and warrants zero merit.
Myles played a hell of a game given All of the circumstances that were thrown his way. 370+ yards...... Joe burrow was a developed QB from an even more developed program before he even got to LSU and he still didn’t throw for as many yards as Brennan did until his 13th game against a non-Sec team. Give it a break dude. Keep throwing shite like
This out in the open to fester and you will see a shitty team. Maybe try building the team up with some
Positivity instead of adding to the shitstorm of a year we’ve all had ......... I’m sure you’ve never picked up a football in your life so until you can understand what it feels like to have 300+ Lb defenders coming at you in your first start against an SEC team after losing the receiver you clicked most with through spring and fall camp just a few weeks prior to the opener, and the pressure from negative fans like you who just like to stir the pot. Chase most definitely took the safest route by opting out of the season...... His family needs money and he’s guaranteed money if he doesn’t get hurt or sick from COVID. Plain and simple. Don’t try to hurt yourself thinking too hard about what was running through chase’s mind or about what happened on the field Saturday. I’m so sick of reading all of the negative comments from such loyal and devoted fans
