It's not a technical climb, but the altitude isn't trivial.

Considering I can barely drag my tired old arse up Kennesaw Mtn that is a pretty impressive feat.

sporting a rain jacket over a nike dry-fit with some running shoes(? can't tell from the pic). can't be that tough if a kicker reject can do it.

The wild dogs cry out in the night
As they grow restless longing for some solitary company
I know that I must do what's right
As sure as Kilimanjaro rises like Olympus above the Serengeti
I seek to cure what's deep inside, frightened of this thing that I've become

Nice. Never make a positive comment when a negative one will suffice

Pretty sure those are hiking boots first off.

Second, when I've hiked up mountains in the Rockies while backpacking I always carry my leisure shoes (tennis shoes) with me so I can give my feet a rest up top.

But continue being an a-hole.

Big UPs to her. 18,000 feet is no joke. 90% of the armchair climbers on this board would be puking or shitting their guts out at over 15,000.

I've climbed a few mountains (Shasta, Fuji)...altitude is not easy.

My uncle and cousin went to Kilimanjaro. My cousin was hallucinating the last few hours up. Uncle didn't make it and had to go down. The tried to do it in 5 days and it was ROUGH...
