Mett showed flashes of development. Jennings looked bad in game one and looked just as bad in game 13 and every game in between. He never improved.

Mett did not show development at all in 2012. How can you supposedly develop one game and then suck the very next game? That wasn't development, Mett just threw the ball a lot.

I believe we heard the same type of things about another qb that miles loved. Every spring and summer JJ was the heisman award winner.

You are correct sir.

Exactly! Im not going to take what one guy did on March 18 at practice that one time with much weight at all.. It will be who has the best body of work in the Fall.

AJ is your starter.

And furthermore, if AJ does get the start, i would imagine under performing would get him pulled pretty quickly with BH having a year under his belt

See last year for the results to come.

Les Miles and his staff have sabotaged Harris. They set him up for failure last season by not allowing enough game time experience before throwing him to the wolves in auburn

No one is going to force you to watch. I know one thing, If Harris plays and struggles, it will be on to the next guy with this fan base.

JL was redshirted and RP got kicked off the team, so you are saying Lee should have got PT in 2007? Lol.

They tried giving Harris pt in the first game of the year and he shat his pants, he saw pt in every game until he sprained his ankle, what more were the coaches supposed to do. Just throw him to wolves? Oh wait...

This is a strange offseason. I should be excited to see LF as a sophomore. I should be excited to see the incoming class. I should be excited to see what the new coaches bring to the table. I should be looking forward to a top recruiting class being assembled.

Instead, I have no interest in the spring game and I'm not chomping at the bit for the season to begin. It's due to two things...

First...It's deja vu at the QB position and I have no faith in AJ as the starter. I truly hope he develops but he was so lost last year and made no progress even with unlimited opportunities.

Second...I've seen no positive changes in the SEC HQ. The same people are running scheduling, officiating, sanctions, and compliance. It will be another Gump-rigged fiasco.

Thank God for college baseball & softball.

At this point I don't care who the starter is this year. Whether it's Jennings or Harris, please be able to make the passing game effective to where LSU can keep defenses on their heels at times.

Can anyone seriously trust what Miles has to say about the development of anyone at the qb spot?? Not only does the man lie blatantly about many things but he is also seemingly clueless when it comes to anything related to quarterbacking.

Jeebus you frickers will say the stupidest shi.

Mett was inconsistent as frick in 2012. Yes.

He also threw for better than 60% completions 6 times in 2012. A feat Jennings has achieved precisely once.

Mett had SOME good games. Games that could legitimately be referred to as "good" and not just "well, that was better than his shitty games" kind of good. He had three very rough games in the middle of the season and then, exploded vs Bama.

After Bama, his worst completion rate was 55%. Yeah, he threw two INTs vs Miss but sheesh people, if you could see that the lights went on as far as his throwing from Bama on, you are idiots.

AT NO POINT has it looked like the lights were on for AJ in even a quarter of football.

One could've looked at Mett in 12 and thought, "man, if they can clear up his inconsistency and get him throwing like he did in some of those games, we could be good".

If next season, Jennings throws the best he did ALL year in 2014, he'll be a shitty quarterback. Think about that. If he can manage 12 games that duplicate his best work, he'll be shitty.

Comparing the two is just asinine.

well then Jennings is not your guy. I didn't expect a big leap from the end of last season to saturday's scrimmage or anything, but Jennings looked pretty much the same.

Jennings may be able to tighten up a few things here and there, but I'm convinced is he who he is for the most part. He's pretty much reached his ceiling.

Jennings looked pretty crisp? What does that even mean? I remember how up until the bowl game against ND he was getting all the first team reps. Needless to say there was no improvement that I could see. I will be at the spring game to see this crispness Miles speaks of. I bet it will be a repeat of last year's spring game when Harris turned heads and Jennings had me shaking my head.

Are we really on page 13 in a thread discussing a comment from Miles on a single day of spring practice? Got to love the offseason.

It is kinda funny because even those who ride Miles' jock admit that when he's talking to the press/fans he's full of shite.

Anyone who believes a word Miles publicly says regarding player development is retarded.

The guy was a teenager when he started for LSU last season, but he "reached his ceiling" as a true So.? Damn, but we can be a tough crowd.
