Mid season could be frightening

We saw several mistakes last night that definitely need fixing in order to consistently compete against top ranked teams. Drops, batted passes, a couple missed assignments. But as a whole, the team looked really f*cking good last night, even with those fixable mistakes.
Nothing is guaranteed in the SEC, and I know that we won’t decimate every single team like last night. But If they make the normal progression that’s expected from such a talented group, we could be seeing absolute massacres come October/November.

Been watching 40+ years, and that was in the top 5 opening games ive ever seen lsu play....

Not sleeping on any conference opponents, but the two successive conference games this month (OM and A&M) and in November (Bama, Texas) are so critical.
Four ranked teams, so great to have three of those at home, but still brutal to have to navigate those stretches this season.

I would be ecstatic if they went 3-1 over those 4 games. Almost guarantees a playoff even with a slip up at Tenn or at Aub. Although, I just dont see auburn. Being able to score enough to best us. But on the plains ive said that many times before

Pump the brakes a little. MS state is much improved and going to Auburn after playing 8 straight will be tough.

Kiffin saw them too, he said his post game locker room speech was not as upbeat as his presser (which wasn’t even overly positive). He is not pleased, he expects more.
This is a new program all around and that was a great game 1. Just trust tProcess, its only the beginning of year 1.

I’ll never understand stuff like that. They’re not helping Michigan. The Wolverines are gonna get pistol whipped all year so what did they accomplish other than giving all involved a bad name?

Leavitt missed spring and he's working with all new WRs. I'd expect he probably needs a month or so for the top WRs to separate themselves and build chemistry with Leavitt. The question will be can we get by OM and A&M in the meantime?
