And I don’t know this for a fact, but my guess is the Wade firing happened above Woodward’s pay grade. He may have agreed with it, but I think Tate and the BOS wanted him gone. It’d be one thing to stick by him if he’d won some hardware like Self or Miller, but the juice of the constant blasting of him in the media by assholes (but big names in the sport) like Vitale, Forde, and Thamel, just wasn’t worth the PR squeeze. It was a bad look for the AD and the University that just wouldn’t go away.

This 100%. We all fell in love with his swagger and all that, but in reality he had some frankly terrible losses and somewhat underachieved with the talent he bough.... I mean brought in.

Wade like all other LSU coaches didn’t win a nc title but he has something that MM will never have which is a sec title.
I’d be surprised if MM can get to Wades high water win mark in his first 3 years maybe even 4.

Agreed, Scott has the biggest contract for tv money.
Kim was an easy hire anyone makes, BK as well especially with our money.
Scott gives worse contracts, and makes operation blunders. When we compare him to alleva he looks good.

Well if he takes the McNeese job, then it's one of the rare times a message board argument will be easily settled in real time
McNeese hasn't had a winning season in 11 years. They have been objectionably horrible for most of that time. There's really 3 options here
1) Wade comes in and recruits a totally different class of talent, and they win
2) Wade comes in and with the same talent level, they win
3) Without upgrading talent, they lose at roughly the same rate they have been
1 or 2 would prove his cheerleaders correct, he's an elite recruiter and a good tactical coach. 3 would prove his detractors right, that he can't win without buying superior talent
