You’re just assuming something that isn’t real to deflect. The facts you listed weren’t facts which is what I said. So you’ve wasted time with BS to get back to where we were a couple posts ago. Congrats

Am I? I'm indifferent to it, couldn't care less what they decide to do. Nice of you to frame it as if I want him to stay. It's ok to have some perspective, I've prefaced almost everything I've said for awhile now regarding this topic to give perspective as to why they might keep him.

Year 2 wasn't a "failure" for one. We actually exceeded expectations that year

By getting our asses kicked by a North Texas team we had already beaten earlier in the year in front of 100 fans in the PMAC? I disagree. The only expectation that was exceeded that season was the fact that we beat two ranked opponents during the same week which was cool. However, we followed that positive momentum up by losing to Mississippi State by 20+ in the PMAC, something that has been an annual occurrence under MM.

LSU, along with South Carolina and Oklahoma have the lowest NIL budgets in the league and it’s no surprise to see this trio at the bottom of the standings.

Where did I miss? Madking is notorious for trying to make himself not look like an idiot. He does exactly what he claims others do and uses these big words so others think he's smart. He's a master manipulator, definitely not a basketball savant.

So because we exceeded where everyone else had us projected(13th), just because we lost to UNT and Miss St by 20 that makes the entire season a failure? My God, I've gotta go spend my time somewhere else than on this board.

Just punished myself by watching McMahon’s post game presser.

Dude looked and sounded exhausted.

Uhh "near last"? We were picked to finish 11th in consensus polls, only the SEC media picked us to be 13th. Nice twist on that one.

We finished 17-15 (9-9)
Kenpom had us at 17-12 (8-10) and the article you cited had us going 15-15 and (7-11)

We finished almost exactly where we were predicted by the consensus polls.

Considering the fact that every single other SEC team except Ole Miss made the dance in one of McMahon's first two seasons yes the season was a failure.

2 and 3 are not facts. Sorry you don’t know what a fact is

Actually finished tied for 7th and in the top half of the league.

I don’t understand why two things can’t be true at the same time.

CMM has been snake bite by injuries to key positions. (Max said today that “we lost our two best players to injury” meaning Thomas and Reed).

And.

17 wins in four years is unacceptable at a school with a basketball history like LSU.

The injuries are *an excuse* but not a *good enough excuse* to dissuade me from thinking we need a change in leadership.

I have oftern said I don't care if they replace him, it may be for the best for optics. There are those who just sit and mcok the overall record and always have a smarmy response when the impact of the injuries are raised. We don't know how well he may have done without those devestating injuries. He may have still flopped, but I would have loved to have seen what a healthy roster without theNCAA sanctions impacting the first couple of years might have done. I hope if he is replaced they pursue a very high profile coach who can make a splash.

Well… we can make an educated guess — there’s some empirical evidence as to how we would have done.

Floor 4 wins
Ceiling 9 wins.

Shouldn't that be Draconian NCAA sanctions Tigersbb not just NCAA sanctions I mean we lost 1 whole scholarship. Im during given Mclosers we'll known recruiting prowess he would have signed the next Shaquille O'Neal with that scholly!

Losing the scholarship was not all that relevant. Its the fact they had to recruit the first two seasons under the cloud of what the penalties might be. Other coaches could tell recruits if you go to LSU they may be on probation and banned from post season. The uncertainty was the worst part not the fact the penalties didnt end up as bad as possible. Remember Wade refused to meet wit anyone and there was a lot of bad press about LSU at the time while the sacred cows just stood around laughing. Gestapo bastards.

Damn I have never seen more excuses made for a coach with a 17-55 4 year SEC record. Glad you weren't around for Vurley who thanks to Mcloser is only the 2nd worst coach in LSU history.

It’s absolutely crazy how rabid and how many McMen we have.

No LSU coach in my lifetime has gotten these excuses in any sport and all of them had better accomplishments than MM.

Curly was actually better at his job and he is universally hated as he should be.
