Our chances of winning this regional were not great to start with. With no Mooch pitching, our chances sink even more.

I sure hope our starting pitchers can go deep into the game and that we hit above our average.

Yeah isn't PM quoted saying Hilliard complained of a pinching sensation in his shoulder?

He did say that. Still cant believe we pitched him on two days less of rest in hoover. PM puts way too much importance on some of those tourney games. The first win was needed, that 2nd day not so much

Why?

You think Football won't be enjoyable with a potential Top 10 Defense, Transfer QB and young/hungry RB Corp?

Wasn’t this how Walkers injury was labeled at first last year??

Pretty sure it was labeled as soreness/fatigue at the beginning.

Just Fatigue??? WTF???? Why are they even here then???? Are you trying to win now or what.... You are a great coach Paul but you are IN the Tourney and are worried about players being tired?????

Bruh, this isn't like he needs to take a nap. If a pitcher has shoulder fatigue and continues to pitch, they can get seriously injured and it's possible that the injury could literally end their career.

Fatigue? I'm all for protecting young arms, but come on. If they are so exhausted now they should have not been pitched as much. PM is either lying about the nature of their condition or made more poor pitching decisions.

It wasn't or is it ever one game that tires a pitchers arm out but innings over the year.

Then whos fault is it that they are tired in the 1st place??? Not managing his pitching correctly??? I understand not risking injury I guess, but THIS is what you worked all season long for... IF one of them DO have an injury... I would understand this better........

I mean, we were a bubble team. I do not blame CPM for pitching the guys in the Tourney as we needed to do well.

We can still win this thing. If Gilbert 2017 shows up at all we will be OK.

Time for the players to just step the frick up.

Maybe a freshman played more innings due to injuries?

So we’ve gone from Mainieri is ruining our pitchers’ arms to complaining that he’s being to cautious?

This is just my opinion and I am certainly no medical expert, but Labas and Hilliard are both freshman and they may have just gassed out. Labas especially since he came into the year injured. If you think back to Walker last year, a freshman also.

For all the shite people give Paul on this board, I don't think anyone can seriously think he over pitches his players. If anything, he is overly cautious with them. I just think Labas and Hilliard hit the freshman wall.

There is no way LSU will win a regional tournament with Johnny Wholestaff! We are down to one starter in Hess. He has never pitched a complete game. The other available pitchers including Peterson and Sanders have never gone the distance in an LSU uniform. Even if Peterson or Sanders or Bain is pitching well, there will be subs for them and eventually the opposition will tee off like Ole Miss did in the SEC tournament.

If Maineiri can pull this one out, I will give him all the credit, however I can't see it happening. This year has been one for the books.

I won't give up, however!
