Thats a great sign... he might be able to give the team a great change of pace in relief late in the regional.

That in itself could be what ends up winning us a game.

What part of "Mainieri says no Hilliard this weekend" confuses you?

Throwing Walker is a simulated game causing his injury last year was meaningless too

I hear you. If it's just based off this quote.

quote:

I think both Hilliard and Labas will be out this weekend... nothing structural, just fatigue" #LSU

Then the whole think part could leave the window ever so slightly open.

I don't expect either and am sure there are other quotes by now.. I haven't kept up.. It's too depressing.. Going to have to win it the hard way.

Mainieri said it was the first time this season Hilliard had experienced any discomfort after an outing.

“We shut him down for a few days thinking it was just over-work, and it has not gotten any better,” Mainieri said.

Could this be a revenge ploy by PM? I remember Oregon st changing pitchers on us last year at the CWS.

Yes, and Rasmussen had his second Tommy John 3 weeks later... Yeah that was a ploy by OSU....

Walkers injury was a repetitive use, cumulative injury. If you think the sim game caused it, you're naive. His junior year of high school had more to do with it than that day of throwing.

Throwing is that game was meaningless. He needed the rest. Another case of not knowing how to handle a pitching staff.

No, it was when he felt discomfort. It didn't CAUSE his injury. Read Project's post above.

You're really, really dumb. And you prove it every time you post. You're pathetic.

Maybe it's the part where Hilliard is travelling with the team? If he's out then why is he there?

If it's just fatigue is it really such a stretch for you to think that he could see limited action late in the Regional in early relief?

Again, he would be a great change of pace out of the bullpen if needed since none of our other pitchers are anything like him.

He didn't throw a single pitch in the super regional because we won the SR in 2 games thanks to Andy Cannizaro's incompetence as a head coach.

If Walker hadn't thrown some before the CWS it would have been almost 3 weeks between his last start in the regional and his first CWS start.

There's a very good reason you're not a college baseball coach and Alan Dunn & Paul Mainieri are.

Read the damn article. He first suffered the injury throwing in a simulated game. Knowing he was hurt, PM still allowed him to pitch.

You've obviously not kept up with Hilliards treatments and throwing regimen since the SEC tournament ended. I don't feel like taking the time to cover it all but the short answer to your question is when Hilliard left Baton Rouge yesterday with the team for Corvalis the hope was his throwing session in Corvalis today would show the pain had subsided.

It hasn't.

No, he first felt the discomfort in the simulated game. He threw when he got to Omaha and felt okay. The pain returned in the Oregon State game. He was then shut down.

This is the most unintelligent statement you've ever posted and that's really saying something considering the multitude of really stupid posts you've made.

Your hatred for Mainieri and Dunn are irrational. Are you jealous of them? Is that it?
