retarded the sec doesn't allow beer sales at sporting events should the hosting school choose to do so.

Is this actually the case? I've read a lot of conflicting posts about this.

Main reason is traffic.

No one wants to sit in the stadium for 3+ hours then sit in traffic for another 2+ hours just to get off campus.

I've been screaming this is in every thread like this. Find a way to significantly reduce the time it takes people to get off campus after games, and more people would stay longer.

And at the people blaming it on social media. Buncha senile old geezers. (and no I'm not a millennial)

They would agree with you but they lost interest before your final statement and moved on to another topic.

After the Alabama game in 2012 it took us 3.5 hours to get home after the game. It's fricking ridiculous. There has to be a better way.

The TV timeouts are brutal.

It kills any momentum from the team to the fans.

Why does your buzz wear off in the second half?

Thats when I hit my stride.

Sounds like you need to be better.

Leaving early makes you a chump.

Regardless of:

Traffic
Alcoholism
Whatever

There are a lot of people who would love those tickets who would stay the whole game.
Lots of spoiled people getting hand-me-down tickets from their family who don't really appreciate them.
I know a lot of these people.

Uh, no

I've been in there plenty UP by 30 and people still leave.

Again, not on LSU's level, but they do leave in droves.

Start scanning the tickets leaving the stadium once the clock is zeros. Staying past the end of the game earns more TAF points and can let you bump people with better seats who never stay.

Last night it was the students and they cleared out at halftime. Can't blame that on the weather, the boring offense, game legth or anything else. It's time for them to lose seats. Move loyal upper deck fans down there.

That's BS. The student section was more empty but the "paid" seats were emptying after halftime like they noticed that they were disproportionately full and were trying to catch up.

From what I understand, it is not really difficult to get a flask into the stadium.

you do realize that they have been playing football in Tiger Stadium for a long time and there has always been traffic? There has never been a mas exodus of the stadium like there has been the past few years. You cant blame it on traffic This post was edited on 10/2 at 11:07 am

You do do realize that over that long period of time Tiger Stadium has expanded multiple times without expanding/adding roads right?

Grow up. You CAN watch and enjoy a game without being drunk.

However, I totally agree that extended TV timeouts kill the atmosphere, but until TV money Doesn't rule tge day. It won't change.

Very surprised you got so many downvotes. I guess some people like four hour games. I hate them.

Um I'm pretty sure Baton Rouge has added and extended roads in and around campus and throughout the city to some extent in the past 10-15 years. It's all relative.

Sure. Tens of thousands of season ticket holders pay thousands of dollars and devote hours (or in some cases days) getting to and not the stadium, and then, after 2 quarters, suddenly discover,"Oh, shite! This game is going to go longer than I expected. Guess I'll just leave now."
bullshite. They come for the party. They buy tickets because they can. They couldn't care less about the game.
As for the students, they just want to get falling down drunk. Can't to that inside the Stadium and the buzz starts wearing off after about an hour and a half.

Ok here it is..

Back in the day, you can spend $100 for 3 tickets, show up at the stadium parking lot at 8am with a 10 cases of beer, and a 5th of bourbon to sneak into the stadium to avoid losing your buzz, while having have a good ole time in the stadium watching a quality opponent every week till the clock said 0:00.

Now, you need to spend triple that for tickets, it is harder to sneak stuff in the stadium, so people don't - and people don't get drunk like they used to out of fear of getting DUIs, so people leave early having their buzzes negated by either an inept offense or non-quality opponent.

Nope. Majority in the section I was in left because of children and the other comment I heard was traffic.

Neither of those 2 will be fixed. Children will be children and trying to get over 100k people out of one area as fast as people want is impossible.
