Imagine had we won against Bama in the game we gave away at the last second and gone on to win the national championship in 2012.

I said this from day 1 that is was all about football and NOT WILL FREAKING WADE.
Otherwise, you don’t fall on the sword for that. Had LSU fired him like Alleva wanted to and addressed it then, we wouldn’t be in this spot. I hated Alleva but he knew how to deal with that situation.

Well I guess at least we didn't win the Natty in 2012. That Bama loss kept us from vacating a title. I don't really care about vacating wins but being forced to take down a championship banner and no longer officially claim it would have sucked.

Honestly Les deserves it.
Not for this per se, but he built a legacy on 60% talent, 20% Nick Saban’s coattails, and 20% luck.
And was nailing coeds.
If there were ever a span from which I lose no sleep over vacating wins… 2012-2016 is certainly in the running.
Little Nicky owes Lester a lot of beers for those years.
