Funes hatched the plot after Vadal was no longer a player. He went searching for accomplices from people he knew and found one. All their findings are bullshite. LSU never paid anything for Vadal. It was all a plot by Funes that he hatched when he found a willing partner. Impossible for LSU to have known about it at the time. Just a bunch of crap.

What were the good wins in 2012-2015? 2012 South Carolina? 2014 Ole Miss? LSU won a fair amount of games during that timeframe but none of the wins were of much consequence in terms of leading into anything meaningful in the postseason. The biggest games every year were against Alabama, all of which LSU lost.

I always hate this sort of penalty, it just makes no sense. Feel bad for the players who did it the right way and earned their spot/wins but something that had zilch to do with most of the team makes them all pay.
Really though, it’s just…I watched the games. I watched us win, “vacating” them doesn’t just change that history. What happened, happened.
Same thing as Reggie Bush’s Heisman. Getting whatever he got from people had zero impact on his play. I watched him be a generational college RB and the best player that year. The Heisman will forever be his, even if they want to “vacate” it 10 years later as compliance officers get their jollies.
