I’m only asking your opinion on the offense. Do you think all is fine with the offensive production?

Then I guess we have different opinions of a great qb. Stats are situational. So it Joe actually. He's done a great job of making the big plays when it counted minus florida. Converted a lot of big 3rd and 4th downs. He's thrown a lot of really good passes and every qb misses here n there. That's why 70% is a good completion rate and not 90%. His floats closer to 56 if I remember correctly and the 14 percent gap can absolutely be attested to average rbs, a horrible o line, and consistently playing great defenses this year, and some would argue the play calling as well, and finally the drop issue we've had. You're telling me all that can't cover his stats? You'll see next year. This is the first qb I haven't hated since flynn and there's a reason for that, and it's an objective one.

I do if he doesn't. The o line is clearly being addressed, the receivers will only get better and return everyone, and I know next year will have better run production with CeH having experience and finally grown into is natural position of better than brosette which I said preseason all the way through. And guess who decommitted from Georgia after we skull drug them?

They all played in this game and only Brumfield the 23 y/o wasn’t 100%. What you meant to say was Jngram got arrested and that’s why they weren’t as good... just a reminder of those classes and who they had.

Theuma was a loss due to inattentiveness of Orgeron and that’s it. His best Olinemen.

2014 - Brumfield, Clapp, Domond(Juco) 4*.
2015 - 1- 5* Theuma; 2- 4*Weathersby, Okeke; 2- 3* Magee, Brown
2016 - 2 - 4* Campbell; Allen; Roddy, Savage: 1 - 3* Cush
2017 - 3 - 4* Deculus, Ingram, Charles; 1 - 3* Stewart
2018 - 4 - 4* Hines, Traore, Rosenthal; 4 - 3* - Wire, Smith, Livingston, Lewis ...

This article makes a lot of sense of the situation LSU is in. Seems like some posters in this thread can’t or wouldn’t read it.

By the way, all 3 were back for Bama.

The most 'injured OL' we fielded was OM.

Ree, I know it's your job to build morale in the program, but why are you satisfied with an offensive ranking of #104?

LSU fans are tired of excuses in the offense department

Looked like a BUNCH of FACTS to me. Even the rating #'s for sacks and stuff rate.

Which fact do you want to dispute?

The point is Ree you're just doing damage control here

Yes all 3 of those returning guys got hurt at a point during the season

But all 3 of them played against Alabama and we put up a goose egg so the "they got hurt" narrative is completely irrelevant here.

Yep, makes the statement completely empty when you take this into consideration

No. The 2 is a subset of the 3. But all 3 were playing last Saturday. If all 3 were still injured and not playing this thread might mean something. It doesn't.

In 2O12 LSU lost Chris Faulk for the season. Alex Hurst quit the team and LSU had to start two freshman on the line. Also, Lonergan was in and out of games all season, he was dealing with back spasms.

No excuses we're made for Les Miles and the oline actually improved. This is while the Oline coach was the interim OC due to Krags getting Parkinson's.

I'm am tired of the excuses from the O lovers.

Les didn't sit there and lie, he didn't throw players under the bus. He went out there and tried to win games, and with a lil luck, he would have been to back to back national title games.

One of the problems with your narrative is also the following - here is a thread that YOU started praising Cushenberry

LINK

quote:

84.6: Lloyd Cushenberry’s pass blocking grade in 2018, the best among SEC centers.

So according to you on Sept. 18th we had the best center in the SEC.

So which one of our lineman playing Sat night sucks?

Charles? Nope. Played in all 13 games last year and started the last 7 at LT (4 star recruit)

Brumfield? Senior 4 star recruit? Doubt it. He played in 36 games prior to this season

Cushenberry? Well you thought he was the best center in the SEC a few weeks ago so we know that's a no

Lewis? I don't think he's been a huge liability this year. I'd say he's adequate at worst.

Deculus? He's struggled at RT to be sure but he played in all 13 games as a freshman last year and is another 4 star guy

One thing is for sure, there can be 0 excuses next year. All of these 4 star sophomores will be juniors next year

Excellent post

This is the exact same bullshite we heard last year to excuse shitty losses. Those growing pains were supposed to make this unit great this year and full of depth.

Guess what shite happens every year, always has always will. But injuries attrition shuffling whatever never stopped us from being a consistently great running team in the past because we had an identity on offens, no matter how much some hated it.

These excuses never worked for the old guy, and they aren't going to work for this one either.

Can't wait to hear the same excuses next year when our offense is still bottom half and we are still losing games in embarrassing fashion.

Suit up then. The offensive line has been a mash unit. When O took over half of the offensive line were let go or quit. It's going to take some time to get the big bodies in place. Next year's unit should be light years ahead of this one.

Does O deserve any criticism for that?
