LSU has to be in the discussion for this 12 team playoff every single year

No excuses. That’s the standard. If you can’t consistently get LSU into this 12 team playoff, then you have to go. And LSU has to get back to playing LSU football. Not this weak, lots of scoring, can’t play defense crap. We have to get back to playing physical and aggressive defense, and being able to run the ball down your throat. All the teams left have very good defenses and can run the football. LSU looks too much like a Big 12 team now.

I hate the new college football.

I wish I could give you more than one upvote.

Nope. That is too much. We are the best 9-3 or 8-4 program in the land and if you don't think so, you hate the program. BK is the best.

The excuse again next year will be Orgeron leaving us with 39 scholarship players.

When they went to 12 teams, it made the bar much lower to define “success”.
We have an incredible faculty and a state that produces 4&5 star talent on a regular basis. We have decent NIL money for a poor state.
Making the playoffs is a bar too low for LsU.
This place is built for championships.
Not making the playoffs these days ought to set the stage for a firing

I'm definitely not a Les Miles fan; however, I will say this about him:
His teams were tough. They played grown man football.
LSU under BK's leadership:

Spot on. Even when Les’s teams lost, the opponent was probably still beat up, and physically exhausted, after playing LSU.

I have defended BK. I thought it would take time to rebuild team once he got here. Took program a bit to learn how to play this NIL game. Best I can tell that has been figured out. In my opinion if he doesn’t make it to at least the semis next season that seat should get very hot. Money is being thrown at players, you have a top QB returning, one of the highest paid staffs in college and anything else you need. It’s time to play big boys ball again. I want LSU to succeed so I also want BK to, but if he can’t get us up there next year then it’s time for change!

BS! We are at worst a 10-2 program and anything less than that is a disappointment and is not the "LSU Standard".

What does that mean?
We were all over the discussion until we crawled into our shell before half and then shite the bed in the 2nd half in College Station.

This. We are so close! BK is a great guy and he is 3-0 in bowl games! Our fans are delusional how far we really are from competing at the national stage. Maybe they are the same fans who thought the basketball team would be good this year.

There is no excuse next year.

Realistically, with our resources we should be in the playoffs 6-7 years out of every 10. The SEC is still a tough conference, which means some years we will have two unexpected losses, which will be enough to knock us out.

That being said, losing Underwood was the straw that broke the camels back for me with this current generation of LSU football. Unless we really get back to actually playing national championship level football, I won't think it will happen. I just don't trust anymore.

Yeah, but you'll never hear them admit that BKs best results happened in year 1 with Ed O's 39 scholarship players.

Not just missing the 12 team playoff. How about not being ranked in the Top 25 at the end of the season?
Those that claim the Texas Bowl didn't matter before LSU won are hoping it helps LSU creep into a final ranking. It's a sad time for the football program.

Except that historically, since Saban took over and LSU has been good, we are not a 10-2 program. We are a 9-3 program with a championship pop every 5 or so years.
