Never heard of him. Is he worth it?

Looks like a poor man's Jayden with a slower release.

He's meant to come in and fill the backup role.

He’s TJ Finley with a better motor. One read type that was made much better by a stifling ncsu defense. He is persona non grata here in Raleigh as he packed it in prior to the end of the year when needed most due to his desire “to redshirt but not transfer”…oops!

Makes perfect sense. Not a big enough name to make nuss think we’re not behind him but a good enough player to push him in practice and be a backup.

They won’t go into the year with Collins and Hurley behind nuss

He did the same thing as Nuss did when he refused to play in the bowl game to preserve his redshirt. From my understanding M.J. had an understanding with the coaching staff that he wanted to RS to be able to be coached up another year so he could hopefully compete for an NFL roster. ... He'll be a sophomore and would fill depth for the 24 team.

A lot of you were against Damiels signing with us so I will say this...I trust coach before I trust anyone on the Rant with any opinion on prospects.

All these dudes against anyone coming in. If they actually looked at the top performing QBs this year they would see most of them were transfers.

Seems like a solid choice for where we are. It should be an easy sell to him that he’s taking a step up with a chance to compete in the SEC and Nuss on the fact that they aren’t trying to push him out. He definitely won’t worry a guy like Underwood. And he’s probably more ready to fill in if needed if Nuss has any injury issues.

I figured we were offering someone when 2 of our QB's jumped in the portal.

He is not transferring to be a backup. There will be open competition for the starting position.

Every class should include two QBs now, one recruit and one out of the portal.

We need a QB that can push Nuss this year and realistically be able to start and perform at a high level in 2025. Hurley and Underwood will not be ready. Hurley needs to sit at least 2 years and Bryce needs to sit at least 1.

Big arm and fast. Good size and frame. Very intriguing prospect.

And if you looked at it, they were leaving either a dumpster fire (ASU, Auburn), following a coach (Penix), or making a major move up as a 3rd or 4th year as a starter (Gabriel to OU).

In the end, there are lots of reasons, but the ones that are Heisman candidates didn’t leave because they didn’t win the job this year. It happens (Burrow, Murray), but is not the only reason.

Did O'Dowd hit the portal? Otherwise, only 1 LSU QB has transferred this year.
