There’s an article online listing the top 10 college QBs in the transfer portal. This dude isn’t mentioned at all, not even in the honorable mention section.

Eh. The media isn’t always accurate with their assessment.

I know lots of folks on here have faith in Nuss. And he seems like a nice young man. But he’s not done anything to give anyone confidence he can handle the job. We’re done talking about potential, and rep numbers and all the other excuses offered in the past. He’s not done anything on the field to seize the job or justify conceding him the starting role. So, I think CBK is looking for a starter not a backup. Now I hope Nuss wins out but it’s naive to think we’re looking around for a second string QB.

hoping to see more of this. don't need a homerun transfer QB, but a guy with a few years left and a little talent would be huge considering how inexperienced we are behind Nuss in 2024

Just took a look at this kid's offer list out of high school. Very impressive to include Alabama, Florida, Florida St. Auburn, Georgia and, yes, LSU.
We don't need another backup. We've got a couple of those and more on the way. Just sayin'

And double down on this with the fact that a lot of good veteran staters should be looking at LSU like: “Hey, I can go to LSU and win a Heisman.”

Only if they're as stupid as the "fans" who think every transfer will win a heisman. Winning a heisman is exceptionally rare. Also for the thousandth time Nuss did indeed prove himself on the field. Not to mention this logic would lead to never starting anyone but a transfer which is stupid. BK is not pursuing any of the potential starters in the portal. He's pursuing a backup.

Why not go after the Ohio State QB?

Nobody is saying “every transfer will win a Heisman,” you dumb shite. But hey, we will likely have two do it in five years. Not a bad batting average.

The point is, that naturally attracts talent who have the potential to be great starting quarterbacks.

No, the real dumbass fans—which you exemplify—are those who think Nussmeier has “earned” something so “hands off!” and intentionally pass over a quality starter (assuming one wanted to come here) and intentionally sign a backup level quarterback.

LSU “fans” who want Kelly to operate that way take Stupid pills every morning. No, Slow Learner, you’re absolutely wrong with the above. CBK is looking for the absolute best quarterback he can get from the portal. And if that guy beats out Nussmeier from the start, then tough titty.

Never said it didn't, you dumb shite. Just that they would be foolish to think they will win a heisman alongside the idiotic fans who are explicitly and implicitly saying this.

Interesting you call Brian Kelly a dumbass fan. I think it's more you are the dumbass fan. BK is already pursuing only QBs that are clearly intended to come in and not disrupt the room. Both Hunt and Shea have already agreed with that. I think Scarbarough did also. It's not about "earned" or "passing over". A quality QB is only coming here with a promise to start. The second one commits you lose Nuss (which we all know is what you're after) and the backup situation is back to Collins and Hurley. There is no competition and any high school recruit would be stupid to come here knowing they will never start. In your head it's only Nuss that would be passed up, but in reality this logic applies to any non-transfer QB including Underwood.

BK is operating that way slow learner so it's you that is wrong stupid. BK isn't looking for a quarterback without considering the ones on the roster and even the coming recruits. Not the "best in the portal".
