This is a lie that gets repeated a lot.

Yes, it is a rivalry. Just because we haven't won in awhile doesn't make it any less of a rivalry.

When Navy beat Army all those years in a row, was that not a rivalry?

Michigan hasn't beaten Ohio Stat in how long? It's still considered perhaps the biggest rivalry in CFB.

"RIVALRY: competition for the same objective or for superiority in the same field."

Still checks out.

Its because it was at home last year and we always want a home game at night. I rather a road game be during the day.

If I’m not mistaken I think Bama-Georgia play regular season next year and that will definitely be prime time

Probably. But LSU Texas might draw interest from them as well. It will be a home game so CBS has the rights.

Agreed. Alabama fans will act like absolute bitches when we finally beat them. That's guaranteed. I think they put 10 over Auburn at one point until Bo Jackson came around.

The game should have been taken off a pedestal long ago

The sad part is that last year had the best buildup imaginable with the Devin White situation and Tiger Stadium was as loud as I've ever heard it for that 1st quarter, but LSU's offense did nothing as usual and the defense had trouble keeping up too.

2014 was the last really entertaining game. 2016 was really close too at 0-0 in the 4th, but LSU never sniffed the end zone. Until LSU proves that they can score on Bama, it ain't a competitive prime time game.

Why can’t ESPN pick it up as their Primetime game? They’re next in the pecking order, correct?

Meh. The series is lopsided right now. Beat them a few time, and it’ll be a primetime game again.

The last time we played them at 2:30, I remember we won the game and the Les Miles Quote afterwards was:

quote:

"Oh yeah," Miles squinted at his questioner, clearly amused. "We call that 'muddling around.' We really do. 'OK, guys, c'mon now. Right now, here's what we're going to do: Early in this game, we're gonna muddle around. OK? And then later, we're gonna call that 'monkey off the back' play.' Yeah, you MUST be right."
LINK

I used to love Les' crazy quotes when the team was winning.

ESPN has the rights to that one already.
