So 1 legit candidate in Woodward, and the rest a bunch of people from inside this joke of an athletic department.

I cannot imagine one of these candidates abandoning their current jobs to come to the train wreck that is LSU athletics. The fact that so many issues at LSU and the athletic department have been dependent on La. politics should concern any candidate. The legislature's longstanding commitment to cutting the budget at the expense of higher education is, standing alone. a killer. Jindal did huge damage. The new BOS to be appointed by the Gov. may help.

Being a Baton Rouge native and LSU alum has to help. Hopefully he wants to come home and fix this mess.

I posted a link to Ponamsky's indictment some time ago and it was whacked faster than you can say, "Bob's your uncle." Yet this call him "the felon" and that's OK?

That said, I think it is better, all thing being equal otherwise, to have an LSU man as AD.

Love the list with the exception of the "lackey"...can we afford Scott or Dan?? We should have grabbed Dan from GaTech before he Got to Clemson..His fingerprints are all over Clemson, doing a great job..
For financial reasons, it may be Herb..

it isn't a real hot board unless TOM MF JURICH is on the list. Who the hell has ever transformed a university like Jurich did at UL? adidas scandal or not he took UL from the CUSA to the ACC

This guy should be on the list:

Mitch Barnhart

What he's done for UK's athletic department in terms of hires, fundraising, and facilities is outstanding. In fact, no other name on this list so far has done more aside from Woodward.

As good a job as Alleva did with improving LSU facilities...and he did very well there as I pointed out in Facilities built/renovated since 2008, Alleva's 1st year..LSU has fallen behind in key sports like baseball, softball, soccer, and track and field. We have the worst swimming and diving facility in the SEC, and it would be the worst in most conferences around the country.

Under Barnhart UK has renovated Kroger Field and given it a unified, cohesive look for the entire exterior of the stadium. Something LSU fans can only dream of having at Tiger Stadium.

Pick a sport, and you will find UK with a new and improved facility that ranks among the best in conference. And this is at a program with a smaller budget than LSU's.

He's been at UK for 16 years. Might be difficult to budge, but he might also want to better set himself up for retirement.
