I think they are separated by 90 miles and have played more than almost any other SEC teams.

The only teams that have played Miss State more than Alabama are Ole Miss and LSU. Ole Miss has only played them 3 more times than us.

What is their obsession with pairing us with Ta&m?

It's all that the TAMU front office talks about.

When they came into the SEC, they up and decided that LSU should be their new rival. And that's all they would talk about.

Like bruh, that's not how rivalries work.

But they're faggies, they are a weird peoples.

What a crock of horsesh*t.

We're not in the Big 8! We should be getting Florida!

LSU got a gift. No Big 6 schools. If LSU is not in the playoff more years than not with that schedule

Sure, why not? We’ve only won that game twice in 15 years.

Out of all the top programs, Florida got the easiest schedule. USCe, UK and Georgia.

I have zero desire to play Ar-Kansas. It's not a rivalry. No one at LSU gives a shite about Ar-Kansas. Playing them is no different than playing Kentucky or South Carolina. I only care slightly if they are good, and i still don't really care b/c we'll most likely win anyway.

I'd rather have had Bama, Auburn, UF, Texas, or OU, hell i'd rather Tenn or UGA.

Ar-Kansas isn't even close to us. It's like 9 hours away. Outside of Mizzou, Kentucky and South Carolina, they are one of the furthest schools from us. Around the same as OU, Athens, Gainesville, and Knoxville, although you can actually travel by interstate to get to those cities.

Ar-Kansas 529 miles (8h 38m)
OU 612 miles (8h 53m)
Gainesville 590 miles (8h 22m)
Athens 599 miles (9h 5m)
Knoxville 656 miles (9h 25m)

I don't care enough about Ar-Kansas to play them every year. I wouldn't miss them if we weren't playing them.
I will miss not playing Florida every year.
I will miss not playing Auburn every year.
And of course I will miss not playing Bama every year.

same.... the rivaly is firery from our end and we literally get a frick you during dixieland delight so I know it's mutual... deep down I knew a&m would get crammed down our throats... I thought it would be at the loss of Florida... not bama... now we get neither

I think LSU's is easier (traditionally and moving forward).

This was obviously setup to protect the top of the league and I don't care

I think the league did a good job. That had to be one heck of an exercise.
For LSU, I would rather have seen Florida instead of A&M. I like Ole Piss and Arky as annual though.

If this is accurate, I don’t see anyone on that list that has a murderers’ row of “annual opponents”.

This was an obvious attempt to protect the top of the league and I am here for all of it

Arkansas, even though a neighboring state, really never has felt like a rivalry. Even that ugly boot trophy and the "Battle For The Boot" is contrived.

They werent going to give Bama three tough opponents compared to the strength of other team's schedules. Which is why Miss St was added

I am a little puzzled this board feels so against A&M.

If you were to rank all the SEC teams the LSU fanbase hates by actual level of hatred, A&M is what? 5th? 6th?

It’s manufactured. You can’t make us hate A&M the way we do Alabama, Auburn, Florida, or Ole Miss. It doesn’t help that as far as cfb programs go, A&M is awful.

I mean just being honest, LSU has played FAR more memorable and better games against Arkansas than A&M.
