30 minutes and the only people reporting this are a couple of radio jockeys.

Now let's stop calling him "passing game coordinator". It's insulting to him and our collective intelligence to pretend he isn't calling plays. At least name him co-offensive coordinator, so that Ensminger can keep his weird feel good role.
It sounds like you are in the idiot room when it comes to SE. Many of you in the idiot room undervalue and under appreciate just how important SE has been to this staff, and to the success you now see LSU having. SE encouraged the Brady Hire, and has been instrumental in gelling it all together. And he's probably a big reason why Brady will stay at LSU in the "co" role.
I pray to GOD SE doesn't retire. He's one of those guys that does the things that don't get noticed and helps keep the train rolling.

LINK: joe Brady and LSU finalizing deal
quote:
A source told Yahoo Sports on Saturday that LSU officials engaged Brady about a raise and contract extension during LSU’s bye week. LSU is prepared to pay Brady NFL coordinator market value – think in the neighborhood of $1.5 million – and could have a deal by the end of the regular season. (Brady makes $400,000 on his current deal.) The source noted the importance of LSU keeping Brady, who has been the season’s breakout coaching star.

Ah I see, you mean confirmation of deal done.
Wouldn’t worry too much, pretty clearly IMO it’s nearly done if not already done at least in principle.

Ensminger calls a lot of plays. Ensminger is still captaining the ship.
Brady installed a large portion of the offense, but he has absolutely no experience coordinating. Learning from Ensminger has been vital to his development.
Honestly, it was a perfect situation for Brady. A lot more goes into being a major coordinator than just calling plays.

if SE wants to stick around he's got a spot but i have argued for months this is a transition plan that SE wants
i doubt IF there is a "co" scenario it goes past 2020
SE never wanted to be our OC and is helping train Brady but he can do it as "TEs coach" or whatever title we give him

And you are are completely ignorant if you believe any of that nonsense.
I'm sure Ensminger is a nice guy. But he's a dinosaur when it comes to calling plays. You don't go from being a guy who can't score a point against Alabama one year, to scoring 46 the next year, with THE SAME PLAYERS!
Please don't insult me with your rah rah speech about nothing, again. You are blatantly denying facts.

Has a "passing game coordinator/WR coach" ever won the Assistant COY award?

Weird, none have been posted.

Except for we had a QB who was only on campus for a handful of months, with young WR who are now producing in a system that last year was put together quickly with the departure of Canada. Lets face it, last year was not an ideal situation offensively. This year we are reaping the fruits of that labor PLUS Joe Brady's unquestionably huge impact. But don't act like Steve just stands idly while Joe Brady does everything.

You still trying to pretend SE was just holding onto this offense waiting for this year to finally unleash it?

not sure if this would stop HC offers.
Do you know how desperate a team would need to be to hire Joe Brady as their HC?
So why would Brady do that to his career?
