Here is what I don’t understand. This ump is not calling pitches outside and off the plate to lefties. That side of the plate is tight for the most part. He is calling that ball off the plate and inside to lefties. Why bring in Cooper here when Fontenot from the stretch has been fine.

Most of those guys aren’t playing college baseball. Good defensive catchers who hit well are high draft picks

Exactly. Fontenot was missing bats. Fan of riding him there with our fielding and a man on 3B.

And Cade chose again to hold the bag instead of fielding the ball while giving up an extra base. 2nd time today.

I think coach has confidence in all of the relievers he has been using last couple of weeks and may have wanted Fontenot to be available tomorrow.
