Hoover was a bit if fools gold for this lineup. LSU was hitting the back of team’s bullpens. You're getting every high leverage arm from UNC today.

Really funny we have fans pissed we didn’t intentionally walk Honeycutt with 1 out in the 5th inning after he’d struck out his first two ABs and UNC having had one hard hit ball the entire game to that point. No coach is going to put him on in that situation.

The offense isn’t terrible but it doesn’t gel. We need to recruit a true lead off hitter, a couple more contact hitters who can move runners. This years team has relied on the long ball too many times for offense - need more balance. Some great young pieces in Larson, Milam, etc.

Well they werent terrible last year but LSU never seems to have a lineup where 1-9 can hurt you.

Yes you are correct. But without our top 3 arms, do you really think we have the bullpen to win 3 in a row? Or how inconsistent our bats have been, do we have the offense to out slug teams? The answer to both is no. Take your purple and gold glasses off please. This isn’t last years team, and tbh this team has done a lot more than many expected, especially after the first half of the season. But this team will not win 3 straight. I will ban bet.
