But the first baseman clearly dropped the ball in fair territory, knocking it into foul territory. Little league umps should get that call right.

2 best hitters strike out, and it's all on the umps?
shite calls, both of them, but damn, your two best hitters CANNOT strike out on 6 pitches with the bases loaded and no outs.

Moron. She tried catching the ball in fair ground. She was in bounds as was the ball. The ball bounced off her glove then went out of bounds. That doesn't make it foul. Ridiculous umpires are stupid morons and can't make simple calls

wtf is going on w Landry? never seen her slump like this
I don't know, she went into a slump during the regionals. Hopefully she can get out of it soon.

doesn't matter. It's where the ball is.
Is that a different rule than baseball?
If popped up in fair territory then hit off a glove, which the ball then lands in foul territory... that's a fair ball.

Also we are in deep shite not getting anything else out of that inning. yes, the umps screwed us in holes we didn't know we had, but I can't believe Jaquish and Landry gave us zilch

Yeah, that was a horrible call...

much as I wanted it to be though. I think the ball hit to left field was the right call. It appeared to hit the outside part of the line.
Then it was the wrong call. If the ball touches any part of the line it's fair.

Both have looked bad lately. Landry hasn't been close with any of her at bats

make Landry hit away too? worked for Griggs

These umps have been paid, FOR SURE.
Nah. Just bad at their jobs. Most of the other NCAA sports have an upward trajectory for officiating into professional ranks. So they work hard to improve. No motivation in softball since that professional league isn't much of anything.

Personally Bailey isn't seeing the ball well right now. Maybe standing still and swinging away would help

The line is in fair territory. Any part of ball hitting line is fair ball. You are correct.
On the other play, when the fielder touched the ball that determines fair or foul. If the ball is over the line or inside of the line when she touched it, then it's s fair ball.
I think we were hosed twice.

the 1 down the LF line doesn't matter if the umpires get the call at 1B right (fair ball, E3, at least 2 runs maybe 3 on that 1 play alone)
