That's basically my point, how in the hell (if that is how the ump is supposed to interpret the rule about a play like that) can you honestly call that with a straight face if your the ump on that situation the ball would have been foul if the Fl state player is not there?It makes no sense

No doubt. FSU is willing to risk NCAA violations by paying off umps in a softball super regional.
They only really made one bad call. It was a costly call for us, but i've seen worse in a softball game (well, maybe worse, but maybe not as costly).
Either way, why would someone pay off an ump on a softball game? You can't even bet on softball.

They just ran themselves out of an inning. If anything Serrett should have made contact with the ball if that was a squeeze or let it hit her. No smarts what so ever. if all the opportunities lost don't beat them brains will.
