Precisely. None of the next 3 are guaranteed wins in the SEC these days.

Anything can happen in Jordan Hare. Absolutely anything. Place is fricking cursed.

I'm confident in the next two. Kentucky is an improved football team at home at night but they're coming off an emotional OT win and don't think they have the horses to play us whistle to whistle. We pull away in the second half. I think we absolutely torch Mississippi States defense the next week.

I think you are counting your chickens WAY early.

Too many of our fans just don't have an understanding or a respect of what it takes to win week in and week out in this conference.

Bama and Texas at home in back to back weeks might be the most hyped consecutive home games in Tiger Stadium history.

Still a lot of work to be done if we're going to be 7-1 going into that stretch. The players and coaches surely aren't looking that far ahead, but we as fans can acknowledge how special those 2 weeks can be if we take care of business in October.

We need to pump the brakes on these kinds of threads. I want the team to focus on crushing Kentucky first. Let's stomp the runts in front of us and get healthy and tuned up before November rolls around. If we can't do that, then the Bama game won't mean shite.

I'm trying my hardest NOT to think about that scenario.

We have 3 worthy tests between now and then. All of them are loseable for different reasons.

ND vs Miami is at 6:30 on ABC that day. Unless they put us on ESPN (unlikely), the game will be at 2:30.

Actually Notre dame vs Miami will be on NBC not ABC. Notre dame has a deal with NBC their home primetime games are there

yup

we were screwed by the refs in 2004 and 2006

many other games had some strange shite happen...

as always it is tougher for us in jordan hare than bryant denny.

3 toughest places to play in SEC as always

tiger stadium
the swamp
jordan hare

I wonder if ESPN tries to compete with that slot in primetime or concedes it and puts the better game on earlier.

i don't understand looking 4 games ahead especially when they are all sec games. enjoy the season and take it a game at a time.

While I understand what youre saying and why, the Gump game will never NOT matter. Records, and team goals become irrelevant and its just win baby win!

Don’t let the naysayers detract you from the fact that it’s going to happen. One bad half in the most extreme of situations is the difference between Top 4 right now and the doubt.

It’s funny. I was coming to post about feeling uneasy about that one, and lo and behold there were several posts about it. Especially at 11 am. I don’t like anything about that game.
