Hines, bask, lewis...for now. You say Lewis doesn't have eligibility but I read where he does. People like ed and Hines and bask could get dedicated and focused for one year and maybe make a great life for themselves...otherwise..well

History says 64% of our early entrants over the past decade have gone in the first 3 rounds

I don’t think that’s an impressive stat. JMO. If almost half the guys declaring early aren’t even day 2 picks, we have a whole bunch of guys who are leaving too early. And that 17% undrafted number is way higher than it should be

Yeah, he pissed off LSU fans so y’all think and hope and pray his career tanks.

I don't know that I have had a LSU player piss me off. Ok maybe Jordan Jefferson I have no ill will toward Stingley and I hope he has a healthy 15 year career. But I am not going to ignore the fact the kid is soft and fragile and will lucky to make it to a 2nd contract and have a huge bump in value. He couldn't stay healthy in a 12 game college season. So we are supposed to think he can go through training camp 3 preseason games and a 17 game season and stay healthy? You need to get a life dude.

You said “at least 4” before. Now you’re listing 3 - one of which (Lewis) doesn’t have eligibility and another of which (Baskerville) hasn’t even declared for the draft. So basically we are down to 1.

Link? Per Cameron Lewis’ bio on LSUSports.net:
- 2016: FR (redshirt year)
- 2017: RS FR
- 2018: RS SO
- 2019: RS JR
- 2020: RS SR (did not count due to COVID year)
- 2021: RS SR
He’s been here 6 years. Even if he did miraculously have a 7th year of eligibility, you’re talking about a career backup / special teams guy that didn’t get a single start until halfway through his 6th year, when the sophomore starting ahead of him got injured. If anything he would be likely to see less playing time next year - not more. Why is anyone complaining about this guy hanging up his cleats after 6 years? It’s absurd.

In the past I would assume that if you’re mentioning these players, you already know that only 1 of these 3 has actually declared for the draft. But nowadays I have no idea what to think.

There's some that are probably wise to go, and some are making a mistake in leaving. If they want to go, they need to go.

It's rebuild time. This is not a surprise. I just wish we had someone who could give these kids the real scoop before they end up playing pro football in Canada. But hey, that's the way it is.

I don't remember Lewis even playing this season. But, I don't remember names with numbers so he could have played every down on offense and defense and I didn't catch it. But, I don't remember his name ever being said in a game.

Flott is basically a pretty good backup. Backups don't usually get drafted

Not only are they declaring, they’re also posting long paragraphs stating their decision and thanking LSU then fans are commenting on it THANK YOU! Thank you for what? Opting out all season and further promoting a toxic culture that LSU has become?

“One team one heartbeat” died the night we hoisted the national championship. Coach O let it die. The players who were returning for 2020 and 2021 let it die. Our former players let it die. LSU’s current culture is depressing. “NFLSU” killed it. Ryan Clark is the main former player who killed our culture. Very few guys are there to play for the gold on the helmet like Kirklin. They’re there to make it to the NFL and do stupid griddy dances. There’s no toughness.

Exactly!! The guy had 1 good season on a loaded team and everyone acts like he’s some 4 year guy who gave his life to LSU.

A lot of them aren’t really “declaring” as much as they’re just saying goodbye

Here me out here baws …..with 3 or 4 star players, the coaches might have to work harder teaching and developing…..what is wrong with that? 5 stars are entitled turds for the most part…….LSU gets beat by teams with lower recruiting rankings all the time…..except Bama LOL.
