We know that both of those points are wrong, but that's the direction the Sec is taking.
They have nothing
This is a one-time thing with the 2022 class, which again, you can thank the NCAA for making this a clusterfrick. Should not be a recurring issue, so no grounds to whine about a future injury that cannot happen. Secondly, at least in LSU's case, they established they had the open roster spots for these players. Lane was two steps ahead by forming that "Team Leadership Council" and having the players address the media that they all openly wanted these players and even voted on it. Genius.

I'm fine with that if it is applied evenly across the board. But, that is not the case.

I don’t understand all the bitch arse pussies who keep saying things like “this isn’t worth it” blah blah. Remember, at this point LSU has done nothing at all. They offered players who were available based on a valid court order, then the SEC decided to create some kind of post hoc rule after the cat was already out of the bag. Then we tell the SEC look we hear you but a court order says these players can’t be treated differently for the mere fact that they happened to sign their name on a contract based on their circumstances versus others who didn’t have the opportunity to sign their names. Then the SEC decides to get involved in a local court proceeding AND files suit against us, for doing nothing, alleging we put people up to suing and what does that mean, encouraged them to exercise their legal rights? bullshite!

No because they have a long list of requirements. Big 12 and ACC would take LSU. Big 10 very unlikely. There's other schools they have their eyes on like ND as independent. They'd have to axe their list of requirements for LSU to get in and to my knowledge they've never done that. One thing that might appeal to them is getting into the SEC regional market viewership wise because LSU despite being a small market has very high SEC viewership numbers.
