The SEC is forcing schools to choose between breaking the law or breaking the law. That is why Sankey is toast.
Again, heads will roll at the SEC over this whole thing. While LSU certainly took advantage of the situation, nothing they did was illegal, and the players do have a legitimate argument with the NCAA changing the rules AFTER they declared. This could have been dusted under the rug and it self-resolves next year, but Sankey decided to break out the flamethrower while standing in a house of cards.

Despite me thinking the players and LSU are mostly justified here, you are also right

I don’t think Texas or Kentucky are opposed to it… just opposed to LSU doing it.

The reason would be the same as it is now: we aren't going to list them on the roster or play them.
Unless Jorden rules for the Plaintiffs today and the SEC waives its option to appeal and agrees to a final judgment on the merits of the permanent injunction AND dismisses the federal suit.

The conference is not treating its members equitably. Not that they ever have, but I’m glad this is finally going to get its day in court.

They left college, yes, because college said "you have no eligibility ".
I agree in principle with both sides...they tried out for the pros, so they had to sign. But they would not have done so if the NCAA hadn't mistakenly told them they couldn't play anymore.
Why did the SEC move to overrule the NCAA decisions? Thats what I dont understand

I'm mostly paraphrasing and putting quotes in quotes.
Currently the attorney for the Vanderbilt player is questioning. He questioned several times about will Vanderbilt be punished if the judge rules in his favor they allow this player to play.
Sankey danced around question and his attorney objected. The question had to asked and danced around/objected to at least 5 times.
Then judge said "I get what you're trying to ask and I see that he is not going to answer, but I understand his answer. He is going to follow the rules and the bylaws until the point that he is not going to follow them anymore"

I don’t know why people keep arguing with you. You clearly don’t know what you are talking about or even everything that is going on. The reference to Mississippi earlier wasn’t even about Chambliss it was about them Texas, Missouri, and others that have recruited players recently to come and play for them via a TRO in their prospective states. In regards to the court order. The initial TRO was filed previous to any applicable bylaw from the SEC. After the SEC announced its bylaw they were added to the TRO saying they couldn’t punish players, coaches, teams, or institutions protected by the TRO.
