Sankey has handled this issue like an abject effing imbecile!

That's what happens when you think you run shite - and you don't.

He will be a laughingstock after this if the SEC loses. No one will take him seriously and the SEC will have a ton of egg on its face.

Sankey may have well set the SEC back quite a bit.

The SEC probably offered him a permanent position on their legal team, or a ton of money.

Lane probably said, "As of right now, you would have to sue the NCAA or SEC." And, the SEC is saying that is pushing the athletes to sue them.

Regardless, what's the infraction? The players are pursuing their legal rights. LSU nor the state of LA has done anything to the SEC. Nor has the AG or LSU threatened to do anything (yet). I'm not sure they even have a case or controversy here yet to survive dismissal.

I don’t see how filing a suit that tells the judge you’re literally in a hearing with “we don’t really give a shite how you rule today” is a strong play.

If the kids arent allowed to play every single one of them are going to sue the NCAA and any conference that blocks it for monetary damages and they will win in court. The NCAA and SEC are really stupid for fighting any of this its going to cost them money and they should just bend the knee.

I have a feeling the Ole Miss players contacted Lane and asked if they can go back to college.

No, I am sure the players asked their agents, if their agents didn't suggest the idea first themselves.

She just said he was heading down the elevator. I don't take that to mean he's leaving BTR if the judge wants him back.

it used to be entering the draft. What happened to that?

Their argument is that the guys in Class of 2022 that exhausted eligibility never "Declared" for the draft. It happens by default.

The SEC's argument is that this "declared for a draft" rule is aimed at underclassmen that declared for a draft before their eligibility was exhausted.

That would be the SEC.

This is all intentional. They knew LSU would fight this. That’s why they only targeted LSU. They want chaos just like the NCAA. They think that will help them pass the protect college sports act.
