So what? If you really know football, then you have seen many great running backs that did not have great top end speed. Emmitt Smith, Barry Sanders (the most elusive RB ever) and Earl Campbell did not have great top end speed. And LSU greats Dalton Hilliard and C. Edwards- Helaire were the same.

Cormani McClain is fast, UF has fast players too, what's the big deal.

Got ran down by Cormani McClain who has ran as fast as a 4.3, and he had a great angle

Every angle is a bad angle when you are behind the yard marker from the guy you are chasing, and Mcclain was behind the yard marker that Durham was on at a given time. He caught him because he ran faster. The angle was a handicap as anyone familiar with trigonometry will tell you.

The corner had the angle

There is no such thing. If two guys are on the 25 yard line, with 75 yards to the endzone, the farther away the pursuer is the harder it is to catch him. This “great angle” that you keep hearing about is from people who don’t understand the math. The best angle is 0 degrees. Every degree you add is worse. What “great angle” really means is that the defender was farther upfield than the guy with the ball.

I mean, I guess. Slower, but slightly better at blocking. Actually, id disagree with you

I wouldn’t argue with you. It’s not like he’s head and shoulders over Berry. But he’s still our best.

Berry might be special with some cuts and vision we haven’t seen in a while. Remains to be seen.

yall realize that a guy that runs a 4.4 will catch a guy with the ball than runs a 4.38 ,dont yall? a football in a tucked position will slow the average ball carrier down by as much as half a second over 40 yards

He should have went to class more. I bet his teacher only seen him in his desk a few times. Maybe then he wouldn't have to sale cars for a living.

I posted Saturday night Durham didn't look as fast as last year! Jackson looked faster his freshman year!

I had to go check Cormani's official times but I didn't see any track times.

Caden looks like he still has elite speed but I was surprised someone with sub 10.5 100M speed was ran down. Good on McClain for not giving up on the play when the game is clearly over.

He hasn't seemed the same ever since his injury on the second Tiger offensive play of last year's South Alabama game. He's still faster than Nuss--, however.

I think McClain was having a fast moment. He looked really fast like maybe that would be like a person best time if he was being timed. Faster than his reported times. And yeah, Durham still looks fast but not as impressive as I remembered from the beginning of last year.
