You can like it or you can hate it. However, under no circumstances, are you allowed to pull the kid card as your reasoning for hating it. It is not LSU football's job to cater to your toddler. They are not LSU students or alumni. LSU does not owe them anything. The fact of the matter is neck creates an undeniable energy throughout the stadium that truly resonates with the players. If your child can't handle a few bad words than you need to be a better parent. Carry on
The song does bring energy. Yes. It always did even before the students corrupted the song. But the players would love it in its original format. Tons of schools, mostly HBCUs, have played if for years. They just have the Class not to act like fools.

I guess I'll be a better parent and say all kinds of foul language at every opportunity. That will certainly help. Now my kids are in their 30s so no prob with that. When they were younger they asked why people used bad language we had taught was not appropriate and I just explained lotsa folks have no class. You just can't fix stupid, y'know. That did help them to learn there are classless individuals everywhere so maybe it is a good thing. Matter of fact, next time I geaux to my doctor's office I'll just spout out STTD baby, and see how it flies. Hey, I pay my money. They can't tell me what to say.

It's about just not being trashy. That's asking too much from our fanbase though.

I stated that I am perfectly fine with people being against the chant. Just don't make it a kid issue when it's not one. Just say you think it's immature and trashy and move on. I'm merely pointing out that the world doesn't revolve around your child. The world is a crazy place. Tell Timmy to toughen up

All you have to do is not say STTDB. It’s really not that difficult.

We have such trashy fans.
We truly do. I always thought our trashy fan ratio was probably about like any other SEC school but I think we're leading the pack these days.

For some reason this is a difficult concept for many to grasp.

Let me take a shot.
Kids are very likely going to repeat everything they hear, especially a song. I do not want my kid repeating vulgar things that they have heard the "entitled" generation "singing". I for one want to raise a child that has respect for themselves and others. If you ever become a parent, you will understand (hopefully, but doubtful). It's ridiculous that this generation continues to think that the entire facking world revolves around them and their liberalism. I truly hope that you reap what you sow!
That good enough for you?

You guys do realize that it's intoxicated college students leading the STTDB effort, correct? The true meaning of "trashy" has been completely distorted by this board.

That was damn good. OP won’t be able to comprehend most of it, but I appreciate the effort.

Had two couples throw a bottle at my 11 year old after the game last night. Kids were throwing a football. The couples walk by and one of the bright gentlemen says "Who's open?" and decides to throw a glass bottle toward my 11 year old. He missed the kid. Another kid with us picked up the bottle and one of the classy young ladies screams at him to give it to her. Then they leave before authorities could be called. Now you tell me, is that a reason to leave the kids at home because these "students" are just modern geniuses as well?

Can you show me where students from other schools are chanting for the opponent to suck the mascot's dick? Do they not drink at other schools? We are the only school with intoxicated students? Probably not. Evidently our students are just trashier.

It's not a few bad words, trashbag. It's words about putting a cock in one's mouth in a derogatory way. How the frick do you explain that to your kids?
Posted on 11/26/17 at 9:13 pm to kjanchild
Hahahahahaha. What a ridiculous post. As if college students just started getting drunk recently. Open up your eyes, grandpa. This isn't a generational thing. College kids have been acting immature since the dawn of higher education. Bonus points for trying to incorporate liberalism into your retort though. That makes absolutely no sense though

you're a complete idiot.

Kids don’t even know what is being said. My kids were there with me last night. They had no ideas what they were chanting. They asked me and I said I didn’t know.
The kid excuse is bullshite.

You should close your tigerdroppings tab every now and then and check out the rest of the internet. I wouldn't be surprised if there were countless examples of college students from all types of different schools acting like immature, drunken assclowns
