I'm not sure where you sit at games, but there's at least one loud guy cursing about the game in every section. Whether the band plays neck or not (they should), the kids are gonna hear quite a few curse words if they're at the game.
There are marshals you can complain to and a text number that you can use to text your problem to and get it taken care of. If you see something, say something... If nobody complains about the guy, then he will keep doing it.

My wife made a decent point. When we were in school (90s) the Greeks brought dates to the games. There were still profanity laced cheers (kick their arse, etc...) but nothing as trashy and embarrassing as this.
Her point was that no half way decent man would yell about sucking d in front of their date. Of course maybe they would if their date was classless too. If there’s still an ounce of class left with the student body (didnt appear so Saturday night), allowing fraternities to bring dates could lessen the problem.
I love the song and the energy it brings. It would have the same energy without trying to out do Florida as the trashiest fans in the SEC. Hopefully the students will one day realize how it doesn’t look or sound cool, but rather pathetic and unwitty.

Sin and divine forgiveness is such a ridiculous construct. No made up man in the clouds cares about what is being said at a football game in S Louisiana.

LSU football is a self sustaining entity.
That is true now, but has it always been? From day one through today, is it in the red, the black or break even? Do you consider tax revenue lost as a result of TAF donation deductions?
Just curious.

Lsu football games are a net positive for local businesses and local parishes. I'm sure the sales taxes collected by local government substantially outweigh any potential costs they incur. The majority of these costs are paid for via football game revenues anyway. So tax argument is invalid imo

You could be right, I honestly don't know. I also wonder if cleanup is accounted for in the athletic budget or the University physical plant budget.

Whatever "neck'' is, it's 1,000,000 times better than that crap every other stadium in the country is playing. when I hear that particular piece of crap song, I change the channel no matter what the game..... it started at usc - west.

Such irony. To be so argumentative about the need to to yell this in a public place clearly shows who the idiot is here with a lack of situational awareness. I hesitated in responding to your repeated posts on this subject, but the irony of this last post was too good to pass up.
Why don't you channel some of this self-righteous indignation into a more positive and helpful endeavor, like volunteering ar the local food bank or something similar.

been going to LSU Games since 72' there is always going to be something or someone that gets undue attention...Neck is just one of the things that could use a little dialing down, not extinction level, but less is more in this case.....people staying for the whole game is another culture issue that will always have its excuses for existing.

Just like when the student section yells "Kick their arse" instead of L.S.U. Just don't sit near the student section and say "talkin out the side uh ya neck" Problem solved. I really don't see why drunk kids being drunk kids pisses off all the paw paws on this board. I hear worse shite being said going to the grocery store these days.

Old people are inherently miserable. They are so busy worrying about how they did it back in the "good old days" that they forget to just enjoy the little time they have left. If sttdb had never existed, rest assured they would find something else to bitch about.

I need to be a better parent because someone else uses bad language in the presence of my child? Give me a fricking break.
Look, when I was a student I was right there with the rest of the student section belting it out as loud as I could (back when they played it). But now that I'm a parent of a young child, I can see the other side of the debate.
I'm indifferent, though, because my child is too young to bring to a game anyway. So if the student section wants to yell "suck that tiger dick, bitch" while I watch the game with my best little buddy on the sofa of my living room, then let them. It does create a great atmosphere for college students and other adults that the team thrives on. Until my child is old enough to know not to repeat what they're saying, he'll watch the games on tv.
