Well, you and I see things very differently. Sure, people cuss, they get mad, they get excited. You never know what’s going to happen on the field. All part of the football atmosphere. But that trash that y’all say during Neck is a planned vulgar chant. It’s not spontaneous. Not creative. Just trash. Of course I don’t want my kids to hear it, but I also don’t want to hear it, my wife doesn’t want to, and my parents don’t want to hear it. Most adults in the stadium (who pay a lot for their tickets) probably don’t want to hear it. The song is cool without the trashy chant and the folks with your attitude (who chant it) are the reason it is not played.

If you go back and look at all the upvotes and down votes of this entire thread/discussion you will see that your opinion (which you have a right to have) is in the minority.

So let me get this right you are saying the liittle ones who are playing football at 7 years old and their parents should have no expectation of decency when they go into Tiger stadium.

How classy.

I’m sure recruits parents like hearing chants about sucking d..k when they are vistiting Tiger stadium.

How about parents actually try parenting and teach their own little brats what they believe is appropriate or not appropriate for them to say instead of expecting the rest of the world to cater to what they think is or is not appropriate.

You didn’t answer the last guys question about what do you think the parents of recruits think.

If hearing the word dick sways them to go to another school and they were 100% on board before that, they’re lying to you about why they’re switching schools.

If they were on the fence and then heard dick and switched, they’re once again lying as to why they’re switching.

Please back up any argument against mine with a recruit (who is 17 or 18) switching commitments because a stadium full of other kids (17-23ish) says STTDB. Or you can look at it like they probably think the same way as the students so they might just enjoy the camaraderie as much as them. And a very low percent of parents actually choose what schools their sons play sports at.

Not every parent is Lavar Ball.

What if adults don’t like the language and crude juvenile singing? Just asking...

Gotta know when to ack right. If you want to act like a low iq no respecting jack wad... it’s hard to stop you from being a duche bag. I always ask did your parents teach you to be a duchebag or did you do that all by your self.

Lotta old farts in this thread.

IF anyone who stayed long enough to hear neck, which was less than half of the stadium, you would have clearly seen how much fun the players and students were having. It was awesome.

If you don’t like it.... it is sooooooo offends you, then continue to cry about it. You people will bitch about anything.

Why do you have the expectation that others must cater to your whims?

I'm an old fart.
I stayed until the end.
There were very few students left.
The song is very energizing, and still would be without STTDB.

It's sad to see them playing it and hardly anyone doing the hand motions.

Some of my best hyped memories come from a full stadium going nuts and bobbing the hands up and down after a win/TD.

I am a season ticket holder and have 3 daughters. With that being said, I love neck. If I had my choice I would rather the STTDB not be chanted but it is a college football game. I have heard neck played at several other schools and their fans do not chant things to it.

Best memory of neck was at the capital one bowl against Penn State and Patrick Peterson in the raining while neck was being played.
