Les Miles NEVER fielded a team this bad or poorly coached

Just sayin’

08’ and 09’ were both pretty poor, although that was coming off the 2007 title. 2014 was bad also.

“Poorly coached?” Not so sure about that. But Miles’ teams were physical and generally played stout defense. His teams were never this soft.

There were some seriously different set of rules then. Look no further than SMU and Vandy…

We were 3-5 in the SEC on a Les Miles team. It’d be worth it to do research before posting.

Some of you have horrible memories, or at least selective ones

Most of Miles teams were poorly coached. They just happened to all be physically freaks and would win in spite of his idiotic coaching style

I don’t know the offensive ineptitude looks quite similar

True. Miles DBs never took so many bad angles that you thought they were trying to avoid hits.

People forget how things were years ago. Recency bias. Just like older people think the 80s and 90s were better. I saw a car made in 1983 driving on I-10 yesterday next to a car made in 2024. The 1983 car looked like the shittiest motel ever made compared to a 5 star 4 seasons hotel being the 2024 car. Just how it works.

This is what baffles me. It's as if Sage Ryan has never played safety on any level. What do they do in practice???

OP has just invented a new stage of grief called Selective Sports Amnesia. Go watch Arkansas vs LSU November 15th 2014. Pigs hadn't won an SEC game in 2 goddamn years and shut out a heavily favored Miles coached team.

Maybe it’s just because it was long ago but I can’t remember ever feeling like the players quit under Miles. This team is soft and they just look checked out.

Miles sucked HARD post 1/9/12
He should have been fired at halftime in that game..

Les won strictly on talent and winning line of scrimmage.
Not really on play calling or being a genius head coach....he was also blessed with great defenses 1/2 of his time.

It's this Josh. We have a fanbase filled with emotional, hyperbolic people.

You just forgot about 2014-2018?

Absolutely, some need to go back on YouTube and watch the games again. They are awfully painful to watch

Was this the chicken broth game?
