That would be Steven Patrick. The one that flagged Brad Wing, and got in the face of Kenny Hilliard after a TD.

agree Prom, but come on. We tried to hammer the ball off tackle and run sweeps that worked in the first game all night. That was as creative as it got. I think everyone and their grandmother knew how to defend LSU that night.
Now, none of that takes away from how shady this is, if true.
I have no idea if Williams did this shite or not, but the plays we run have NO FREAKING BEARING on whether it was going on.
See, how it would work is this......
LSU has some new plays from different formations. LSU lines up in new formations. Miraculously, Bama shifts perfectly to defend a play they've never seen. Thus, we audible out of what is obviously going to be a bad play.
Again, I have zero opinion on whether Williams did this. My gut tells me no. That said, DO NOT BE AN IDIOT AND THINK THAT BECAUSE OF OFFENSE WAS SO BLAND THAT NIGHT IS AN INDICATION OF WILLIAMS NOT DOING THAT POS THING.

And then at the last minute, to counter the spying, a decision was made to totally change and go back to what worked in regular season. May have caused some frustration on the part of some of the LSU players who didn't like the decision. Could it also explain tales of dissention on the team before the game...?
if someone knew the gameplan, wouldn't it make for a gameplan to look pathetic?

Alabama out played us last year in the MNC. They were ready, we weren't. Jefferson was not a championship quarterback, plain and simple. Alabama exploited that, and they took what our defense gave them. Let's move on and have confidence in our team
This.
We sound like tider insider dumbasses with this kind of silly talk.

these "new" rumors change nothing

apparently the whole gameplan was changed at the last minute
Could explain the "we practiced plays all month and didn't run them." part that people are upset about.
If Les knew that Saints coaches were watching the practices and blew the gameplan, what if he HAD to change the gameplan and what he laid out....well, looked like the 9th.

Oh, by the way, apparently the whole gameplan was changed at the last minute
perhaps the reason they didn't run all the stuff they supposedly practiced per JJ
actually I don't really care if it is true if it somehow works to our advantage this week...a la the fake Saban story that pissed off Francione and Bama so much that they beat down Saban 31-0

If LSU coaches caught wind of this before the game, it would make sense that the gameplan was changed right at gametime.
That still does not explain why JJ kept fumbling snaps and played terribly.
We should have kept starting Lee and brought JJ in throughout the game. It would have been a two headed monster that actually would have worked much better than what we had.
Oh well. Rumors about that game will swirl for years.

T-Bob said the saints staff could have viewed LSU practices in the dome and relayed info etc...
Weren't T-Bob and some of the receivers bitching immediately after the game about how they practiced a bunch of different plays but never ran those plays?

I've heard rumors of some other things the Bama staff pulled before that game
Oh this oughta be good. Do tell.

Gregg Williams worked with Smart and Saban on defensing the speed option, which ate their lunch in the first matchup.

Well we didnt run anything different than we did all year so moot point imho fwiw

When it comes down to it, we are likely to never know the truth about this.
We know Williams consulted with Saban.
We know Williams had access to the practices;
We know Williams had the motive ane opportunity to use both to hurt LSU.
But only Williams and Saban know what information Williams imparted.
AND, knowing Williams and Saban, we'll never get a credible answer about this issue.

I have wondered if saban has a mole in the program. Who is still left over from his previous staff here?
He will win at all cost. Alabama will be fed to the wolves tomorrow night. I want to break something.

Usually when there's smoke surrounding a coach's actions, there's fire there as well. Saban learned under Belichick & we all know he will go to any means to win. The last few months has also shown us what kinda low life, piece of shite Gregg Williams is as well.

Saban learned from Belichick.
