Some sec coaches think Sam is a pretty avg sec qb and Chambliss is the next Burrow. I don't know what to believe until he plays 3 or 4 games. Chambliss was also nothing special until LK got him.

Well look what Lane has done with ALL of his QBs. If he could do that with Chambliss, what is he gonna be able to do with Sam? Gonna be a fun season.

Nevertheless, LSU has much better talent than ASU. I believe Kiffin is the best QBC/OC combination in CFB. Kiffin will have Leavitt prepared. Kiffin will call plays that give Leavitt the best opportunity to succeed. I certainly hope Leavitt rises to the challenge, and I'm optimistic about this season.

I agree with everyone that it’s silly to compare the two. But I also take issue with those shitting on Sam citing stats. At this time in the summer of 2019, Joe Burrow was coming off of a 2018 season in which he completed 57.8% of his passes for 16 TDs in 13 games. Then he joined an offensive system that suited his skill set perfectly and had the greatest season of all time.
I don’t expect Sam to come close to Joe. But I do think that Sam fits Kiffin’s system perfectly. And I think Kiffin and Weiss are masters at playing to their personnel’s strength. So I will be very surprised if Leavitt does not have his best ever season as a college QB this fall.

You do realize that “comparing” 2 football players isn’t the same thing as insinuating that they are equal in talent, potential, performance or whatever? “Comparing” is how you would analyze how two things are completely opposite as well as how two things are similar.

Sure, it’s just funny that he is being compared to two Heisman winners. Nuss throws the ball pretty effortlessly too. Why don’t we compare Leavitt to him?
