Jesus Christ people, he said the way he throws the ball reminds him of JB. He didn't say he is going to be JB. Nevermind I forgot this is the rant.

He throws the ball like 50% of quarterbacks out there. People try so hard to analyze and make dumb, unnecessary comparisons. I forgot this is the rant though. I should expect posts like this

I rewatched part of the 2019 championship game against Clemson last night. It was such a good feeling knowing because of the quarterback play we were never totally out of a game. I just hope to see that again.

I can’t wait to see him but it’s foolish just to assume a guy goes back to how they were 2 years ago and ignore the recent season.

Fans love to cherry pick a highlight reel

It's great that he throws a good ball, but I am far more interested in how well he can read defenses. We have had numerous QB's that threw the ball very well, but only a very few that could really read defenses.

I do wish that we could just say "____ looks like a good QB because ____" without having to mention any sort of Burrow comparison whatsoever. It's unfair to do so to the QBs we have. Even if Leavitt played extremely well, the bar would be set too high to appreciate it.

Just appreciate that LSU has a talented guy at QB.

Leavitt had not played one down yet for LSU so let’s nix any comments and comparisons.

Did you watch Burrow against Mississippi State in 2018?

Going straight off highlights here.

He steps into most of his throws, looks nice doing it and can throw it on the run, but does toss up some odd 50/50 balls sometimes. I’m a big fan of how much of a threat he is with his legs. He's fast, has good vision, not afraid to take off running, and knows when to go down.

Let’s see what he can do against some tougher SEC defenses and our WRs getting separation. I trust Kiff and Weis Jr!

Yeah they haven't practiced with pads and he hasn't had to throw against any pressure yet but I know what you're saying. I'm hoping he can really flourish under the Kiffin/Weis combo.

I just hope that Leavitt comes in and makes the right reads and allows all the freak athletes to make plays! We don't need him to come in and try and do too much. He had to be that guy at Arizona St because all he had was Jordan Tyson really & that's not the case here!

With Leavitt’s running ability, in addition to his accuracy, we should have great QB play

Not saying he can't improve on that, but combined, his two years starting he completed 61.3% of his passes at 7.7 Y/A.

That's not great. That comp % would be 14th in the SEC last year among the 15 QBs that played 75% or more of their teams snaps and Y/A would be 9th. Combined it's not a great story.

I think he'll improve a ton under Kiffin, but accuracy is not something that he's known for.
