I think that's because LSU negotiated that $ go to signing athletes to NiL deals instead of cutting a check to the school. LSU is fine financially so they secured the bag for the recruits.

This game will come down to Leavitt & the offense protecting the ball, not turning it over. And taking what the defense gives us. Not going out there and playing hero ball trying to make a play and forcing things. If they do that LSU wins easily and covers the spread!

Not an Ole Miss fan my guy so I don't follow your recruiting but am I wrong to say give a 1st time head coach 3yrs to cycle thru every holdover from the previous head coach before you declare him the GOAT or Bust? If they can coach Levitt to settle down and plant his feet when he throws I still feel good! The schedule does look significantly more daunting than before the season started but I like this team and coaching staff. It will all hinge on Levitt! Our defense is good enough we'll be in every game we play so if Levitt can stop trying to play hero ball, give what the defense gives him, run the offense, & set his damn feet when he throws we'll make the playoffs!

At this point Leavitt is who he is! He will make some big plays because he's out there playing backyard football just running around slinging it. The problem comes when he's facing good disciplined defense with guys who are as athletic as him if not more! That's when he gets happy feet, doesn't set his feet to throw & ends up making costly mistakes! I am very anxious to see the back up get some reps when we get in some games where we get a big lead to see what we have behind him!

Facts! Ole Miss fans enjoy your win! It was hard fought & well deserved! But just know that that was the best it will get for you & your program! After Chambliss leaves you'll be relegated back to mid level unimportant good but not great football program! While Lane & LSU will remain a top tier, competitive for Nattys year in & year out!
