Sam Leavitt is the Justin Herbert of college football
Posted on 10/15/26 at 2:22 pm to DCtiger1
He never knows what he’s talking about
Year 1, through 6 games
Burrow- 6 TDs passing, 2 rushing, 8 total
Leavitt- 10 TDs passing, 7 rushing, 17 total
The dude is a moron

He also needs to bulk up
He's 6'2 and 216 lbs. How much more do you want him to "bulk up"?

Rantards
2025- we need a running QB
2026- we need a QB who stays in the pocket

that is what i really like about sam. he has wheels and if he improves pocket presence, steps more up in the pocket when DE;s are coming around Lt and RT he will really be good. he has to stop backpedaling and throwing off back foot.
fix it, stay in pocket and bail only when you have to.
JD would wait too long and took a ton of sacks until he fixed it.

It’s a mix of issues. We can’t run it because we can’t block it guard tj guard and our all world TE is out so it’s hard to get on the edges. That limits our 1 on 1s and shot plays and we’re dropping back too much. We’re still productive but we’re not operating at optimum level right now. I’d run Sam more, threaten the backside of the D and give us more honest odds on the play side but I’m not going to make absolute judgments on the QB when the other pieces are at barely 50%. Your top guy is gone, your 3rd WR hasn’t been consistent, you haven’t had depth at TB and your Oline is below avg in the run game.

Might as well add completion percentage and average yards per catch because that makes him even more of a Moron
Posted on 10/15/26 at 2:50 pm to DCtiger1
Of course you’re correct but the fact that he got the math that wrong on his central point causes his entire position to crumble
Posted on 10/15/26 at 3:01 pm to Madking
yup. we are scoring alot of points overall, and i agree we are nowhere near running at full efficiency. we can see it. we can be way better.

He doesn't seem to have the clutch gene. Good QBs close out games like UK.
Posted on 10/15/26 at 3:24 pm to OchoDedos
Seriously? That would matter if he did not miss wide open receivers and receivers that he doesn't see that are wide open by 10-15 yards that he never tries to throw to. Nope.

He might miss that WRs are open from time to time. You never know what the progression or read is for a particular play so idk that its always the QBs fault. And he does have at least 1 WTF throw each game.
BUT
His accuracy over all has been phenominal. I'd argue thats been his biggest weapon for us this year. When he does make the read and make the throw, they are usually absolute dimes.
His issues are between the ears, not actually throwing the football.

Who’s going to come in and do a better job? Landen Clark? ...Come back to me when you can answer that question because that’s the only question that matters.... The bottom line is, we don’t have a better quarterback on the roster.
I suppose it feels better to just repeat the bumper sticker slogan "Leavitt just isnt the guy" than realize that we have who we have. It's not like we can hire a replacement mid-season.
