Yeah, but 90% of the idiots on this site demand a 3 and out on every series or they want BK‘s head

I've been saying it since Saturday night - the way they used our over-pursuit against us was textbook great game plan. They exploited our lack of discipline and lane integrity.

It's pretty obvious we don't have the dudes - at least not what we have long been accustomed to having. And that's on Kelly - the reasons are many and varied and I've given my opinions but I think the right steps have been made to correct that and the cavalry is coming - just ain't gonna get here in time for this year.

I'd go as far to say we coached them up better than I expected before the last 6 quarters.

I’d like to agree with you there, but I’m inclined to think if they were smart enough to play for an Ivy League team, they are probably smarter on the field, which actually could remove some or many of our issues.

I think a fair amount of our problems aren’t physical but mental. Again, the coaches you’d think could help out there.

Of course, maybe they are… if that’s true, lord help us about the deep ditch we’re in

How is this shocking? Everyone knew going into the season the secondary was the weakest part of the defense. The hope was the Dline would provide enough pressure to offset. For the most part is has. Milroe is a damn good QB and his legs made the difference.

Once Baker and Raymond can get their players in, the defense will improve. The players that will fit the scheme. There has been improvement in the defense but frustrating with the last 6 quarters of play from them.

so what?

It's wise to make Milroe beat us with his arm rather than his legs. Especially in Tiger Stadium.

So if Milroe throws for a ton of yards, so be it.

But we shouldn't let him beat us with his legs. Period.

Vandy shut down his legs and yes, Milroe had a good game through the air. But not good enough to win.

Take away his best attribute and make him beat you otherwise. Football 101.

I would agree however I don't think we can stop a really good running quarterback, I don't think we have the players to do so.

I also don't know that Vanderbilt necessarily stopped him so much as he just didn't run. I read a lot of team boards and there was chatter regarding a possible Milroe injury around that time. They weren't even trying to run him.

It’s also true that Vandy held Milroe to 10 rushing yards. We let him do what he does best.

Agree. I don't think we have the talent to win a NC but you can't tell me there aren't enough players to field a top 25 defense.

For argument’s sake, let’s say Herbstreit is correct. CBK is completely and solely responsible for this roster.

Whether he recruited them as HS players, recruited them from the portal or retained them from the Orgeron era, it doesn’t matter. They all meet one criteria: CBK personally gave them the seal of approval. It is incomprehensible how LSU can’t field a more competitive defense after (3) years in the seat as HC with comparable resources as any other top program.

These are CBKs players….

Yeah, that is what I have been saying. Does anyone think that LSU has the worst defensive talent in the SEC...I surely don't. And the only other team that let Milroe run wild was Georgia. I guess Georgia has lousy defensive talent also. Nnnnnoooo, the problem is the DC of teams has to PREPARE for the opponent''s offense including the QB. Penn said after the game that LSU spent little time preparing for Reed to play for A&M. And apparently, Blake Baker couldn't come up a defensive scheme to slow down Milroe despite seeing what he did last year when House was the DC. I agree that blaming the players without shoving the blame back at Baker is complete and utter nonsense@!

On the way? We been thinking that for 3 years. Stop living in fairyland. We’ll have to win sec games 42-35 for the foreseeable future
