From the very small sample size of both, esp. Longstreet, I agree. When in non-situational use, Clark stalled the offense with 3 straight 3 and outs. Longstreet came in and had better tempo running the offense and moved it down the field consistently. Clark’s good situationally but not sold he can run the totality of the offense effectively.

Yep, lived there for three years in mid-late 90's. Very hot yes, wasn't much there to do though. You get used to the oven-like heat after awhile. I prefer the drier low-100's heat than low-mid 90s w/ high humidity.

Here’s what I suspect is at play: Sankey is seeking to settle political scores w/ LSU about the way Tate, Woodward, BK were scuttled and Rouse, Ausberry, Wade and Kiffin were obtained at the expense of another SEC school in the midst of a title run and the gaul of rehiring Wade. The departed were cuck’s for the SEC and this is retribution for LSU’s F-U personnel moves. Recent court filing that reinforces this belief, SEC claims of “lack of institutional control” agst Rouse, Ausberry and Kiffin. “Lack of institutional control is a direct statement to “leadership deficiency”. Sankey has it out for all of LSUs leadership…

Whether in personal or professional affairs, termination of a relationship is the only recourse once legal action agst one another is taken. The damage is irreparable and all trust b/w parties is lost.

Does NCAA even have current definitions for what defines an amateur and a professional? I have yet to hear a definition of either and applied in a logical, tangibly different argument explaining why a young man who got paid a small amount of money, for a short “job interview” with a pro team can’t re-compete in college if he remaining eligibility. With our litigious society, “because we said so” doesn’t appear to have solid legal standing.

Just installed a new roof, live in Florida. Went with IKO Dynasty. My neighbor owns a roofing, building company and what he strongly recommended. They have a hip/ridge cap option that adds some dimension to the roof too like the concrete tile option that's used in S La.

My original comment was not meant to stimulate a dialogue about who the best coach is in college baseball (I don’t care) but instead a simple observation of flawed logic by the OP; Ie the “best” don’t generate massive failures of the scale seen w/ this ‘26 team. Granted some of their lack of success can be attributed to injuries (outside of CJJs control) but I suspect it more so to reasons of CJJs doing, which he has openly acknowledged. That was quite unexpected and increased my level of overall scrutiny. You just don’t see this result from the “best”. Overly critical? Maybe; but I’m comfortable being that guy. I hope he proves me a fool…

I may be an outlier with this opinion but I haven’t been impressed with Pearson, Patrick or Ruckert so I don’t see them as strong points on next year’s roster.
I’m not interested in anointing anyone. My point is this year’s team performance should exclude Jay from that anointment because the best in sports don’t allow that to happen. If someone wants to explain how the massive flaws in this team’s performance is not a result of Jay’s actions, I’m all ears to listening to that argument.

I still have confidence in Jay but he is not the “best damn coach in the country” because this level of sub-par performance does not happen w/ the best in any sport.
There are/were massive flaws on this team(players and staff). HC is ultimately responsible for those flaws; I’m shocked as most are that it happened under Jay’s watch. A red flag in HC ability that warrants acknowledging. We’ll see if and how Jay fixes its flaws.

That’s right. Zero reasons why he can’t be successful in year 1.
Somewhat. Top tier HCs, in any sport, should not/do not have drastic drop offs in results esp. when being resourced appropriately. For the best, you just don’t see it. In my judgment, outside the couple of injuries to Evans, Moore and Brown, there doesn’t appear to be any other explanation for the ‘26 team’s subpar performance than inadequate player eval and player development. That’s on Jay and is concerning.
