Kiffin Rotary Club talk reminded me just how forced BK’s talks were

I love how proactive he is with the changes of CFB. BK was too lazy and too pompous to care about the new era.

I didn’t get the impression that Brian Kelly had issues with LSU traditions. Just that he thought the place recruits itself and was lazy. Plus poor hires

Well, he wasn’t singing the fight song or anything. He seems focused on football and that is what I want.

I liked how he said his system changes from year to year based on what his players are best at. He is focused on finding out how they will perform best as a team. And I liked that he said no matter how much NIL a player makes, they have to earn their spot in practice. He believes in competition.

Kiffin is obviously more naturally fun and way better/welcoming with football alumni, etc., but for all of BK's faults, he actually was surprisingly really friendly during his interviews, his weekly TV appearances with Paul Finebore ,and post-game press conference minus a moment or two. He was way more of a prick at ND. Maybe because he lost his edge.

He just didn't win at the level that was expected. I think he just thought it would be a little easier than it was with LSU's talent and didn't put in the work to get it to the next level.

Still remember BK’s real Death Valley comment from last year speech-cringeworthy

I’m not sure how he respected LSU traditions, but he was funny and did the best he could with the audience questions he got.

Wish he would have actually answered the special teams question, though

BK had one foot in retirement mode. LK has both feet set firmly in the "build legacy NOW mode"

Kelly loved the title of being LSU’s coach.

"Had issues" is probably the wrong wording. More like he didn't care. The most effort he put into ingratiating himself with the fanbase was walking 50 yards to the PMAC from the athletic admin building for his introduction.
