The way LSU (and then Auburn after) slowed down the Alabama offense was to come after Young all game long. Yes, Alabama his a few big plays in the passing game...but there isn't a Jameson Williams on this Alabama team. This isn't LSU's best group of DBs ever. But it isn't Alabama's best group of WRs either. Take your chances with with man-to-man coverage in order to blitz up the middle. If you give Young all day he's going to move and find people. He's excellent throwing on the run.

On offense, the Alabama defense is going to do what the Alabama defense always does. Their DBs are going to be physical in man coverage and they are going to dare you to throw in the middle of the field. If you are willing to accept the risk that comes with throwing 50/50 balls on the outside and will threaten them over the middle you have a shot. If not, you may as well go home because they are going to suffocate you all game.

Bama is not a juggernaut this year. A win doesn't require LSU to play out of its mind. Alabama has been very suspect on the road (see Texas/Tennessee and even Arkansas until Jefferson got hurt). Play like they have the last two weeks and they'll be in the game.

Keys to Victory for LSU to beat Bama

1. hit Bryce Young, as often as you can. the more contact he gets can only help throw off his rhythm and accuracy.

2. score points on all, if not, damn near all of your drives.

3. play sound defense. limit the run game and force Bama into obvious passing downs.

4. make the necessary adjustments, if something isn't working, figure out what it is and change it.

5. no mistakes. Special Teams in particular.

6. the crowd. Bama has struggled on the road this season and if Death Valley can roar and shake like we know it can, it can only help frick with Bama's communication.

Agree with this. ^

Show Perkins #9 every day and right before the game tell him to make him his bitch.
Contain the outside so Young can't scramble.

OL needs to block like their life depends on it and let Williams and Goodwin go to work. Daniels will have another huge game if we get the running game going. I think Jenkins, Nabors, and Boutte will show out this game.

LIMIT TURNOVERS.

If the Tigers pull this off maybe they'll get in the top 10 but probably not.

1. Don't let Alabama knock Daniels out of the game.

For reference, see Colt McCoy and Quinn Ewers.

Once again I must respectfully disagree with #1. I don't care if we get down 3 TD's. Would like to start out well but that's just not the way this team has performed all season. I love the in game adjustments and 2nd half domination. Key to the game IMHO on offense will be to air it out (Daniels does not need to be carrying the ball 20+ times or he won't make it to half-time. Defensively we must STOP their running game (similar to Ole Miss) and harass Young for 60 minutes. We do that we'll win. Bama is beatable and our Tigers are peaking at the perfect time of the season. I think #6 should be at top of the list..... However, I like our chances.

1. Contain number 1 in the rushing attack. He’s going to make big plays but we must force them into
2. 3rd & 7+ where we can put 40 to spy/attack number 9 and force bad throws but most importantly not allow 9 to buy time for his wrs to get open.
3. Not let Bama front collapse our pocket from the right side. They know they can’t collapse 66 on the left because he doesn’t give up ground. We have to scheme to get out of the pocket some and not let 50 get bull rushed into 5. We have to hold our ground with the guards. As well.

These will be the story of the game.

Score one more point.....

1. Don't get to far behind early.
2. Gibbs is the one you have to contain.
3. ZERO special teams issues.

I’m assuming we solved special teams issues. Including coverage. You saw it on our punt and kickoff this week when they tried to return one and got to the 15.

Offensively we have to dictate the pace of the game. Mix in tempo and slowing it down. We have to be able to run the ball on 2nd down. Spread the ball around.

Defensively it will be tough. Pressure Bryce. Get him off balance. Don’t let #1 kill you. Disguise coverages and give a bunch of different looks. Take some chances.

They need to get a couple breaks here and there and just make a play or 2. Watched AnM again and they had a couple of really lucky breaks. King was trying to sling it OB on a play and Stewart just went up and caught it for a big gain. King threw a lot of 50 50 balls and the WRs made some plays.

After watching a few bama games this year, I really think we can run on them.

1) focus — no self inflicted penalties (procedure, neutral zone, late hits)
2) composure — we ALWAYS fight 2 teams vs Bama; pressure them to lose their cool
3) mix it up —- House & Denbrock need to game plan to confuse Saban & Co. — which will lead to Bama losing their #2 ( no pun intended)
4) confidence — keep plays simple on offense to build up to major plays deep, this will help Jayden

Daniels HAS to slide more and avoid the big hits.

Bama is going to be head hunting as they always are with opposing QBs.

Contain Young in the pocket and slow down Gibbs. Blitz early and often. Offense and JD have to play at the level they have played the last 2 weeks. No turnovers or special team FU's. Then we win.

Avoid a semblance of targeting because it will get called.

#40 has to play greater than 80% of the defensive snaps.
