And Nick Saban was telling the truth when he said he wouldn’t leave LSU in 2004

The classic response when a coach is still coaching a team but know they’re leaving.

He’s a good coach and LSU will win games but it would be such an uninspiring hire.

Wow! This guy already has his office packed.

Sauces were right on this one.

Or using another school to obtain a shiny new contract.

Great Catch by someone on twitter: He was on the phone during preparations for a SEMIFINAL game; never seen a coach do that

It was after the game.

Woodward wouldn’t be calling a potential coaching candidate who is preparing for a game or directly following one either.

Agree. Would be a little underwhelming. He has had loads of talent every year and arguably a better pool from which to recruit. All of that and he’s won 1 national title. And fewer SEC tourney titles than Mainieri.

Would prefer the TN coach in a heartbeat.

Couldn't O'Sullivan taken Woodward's call on the dugout's white courtesy phone?
