I would say that exactly but that statement is closer to true than false. If a kid wants out of Louisiana, it may show a bit of forward-thinking.

I say that as a guy who will probably never leave the state because my wife wants to be near family, especially her mom and dad as they age.

Maybe if we had a quarterback With a proven ability to get the ball down field to the wr’s and a coach that call the right plays in the red zone. He would be willing to play for the home state.

The guy just said outright he wanted to leave the state.

Kids don’t want to stay in LA??? Shocking I tell ya. Don’t tell that to the dumbasses that think it’s all about NIL

I don’t know why idiots feel like kids from here are obligated to go to lsu

Not everyone wants to live here, y’all want kids to make decisions based on your own fandom

If I was a HS recruit in Louisiana and didn’t grow up a die hard LSU fan I would get the hell out of Louisiana too and go somewhere else, maybe in Texas or Florida

Louisiana is a shitehole

Right? No one says shite when we get players from TX, AL, MS, etc. LA is a shithole, BR is a shithole. Every team plays on TV now, every team provides exposure to the NFL

Maybe LSU could teach him about run on sentences.

twitter is informal communication. if you're smart, you should know that and what it means.

I think it's a good post by him.

Exactly. As much as it sucks to lose a local recruit, this is the truth. Sometimes there's situations in a person's life that push them to leave the environment they grew up in. It could be family, tragedy or just a need for a change but no one knows except for that person living in that situation.

Have you been to Tallahassee?!?

There’s a reason he mentioned a state and you replied with a city.

Kudos to the guy for signing with a winner that is apparently going to help him get to the Pros. FSU definitely worked out for him.

FSU hasn’t won anything in forever and he’s have just a good of a shot at the pros at LSU or FSU.

This is BS.
Mike Detillier just said on the radio that Coleman wanted to go to LSU but LSU did not offer him either out of HS or in the portal. He knows this from conversations he had with Coleman at the time.

well if detillier said it, then it must be true

right?

I remember his recruitment pretty distinctly, he wanted to play basketball and football in college. keon trained with some guys I know

will wade was down, Coach O was slow playing him

coleman took some visits, offers started piling up.
coleman makes it clear he wants to play both sports and go out of state

I think he committed to a few schools, kansas, maybe tulane, then signed with michigan state. seems like he always wanted FSU but his family wasnt sure about norvell though

eventually got to FSU through the portal

I dont think lsu was ever really in the running for coleman either time
