I've torn both rotator cuffs and have had multiple surgeries, the first one the doc said said "you're going to need surgery. eventually," I asked when, he said when you're tired of the pain, i was yanking and banking in jets for several more years before I caved in and had it repaired, and playing lots of golf, he's full of shite and excuses, but we already knew that
THIS!!! I had both of mine done and before surgeries I did injections and PT and it was totally manageable until it was not.

BK continues to display his total lack of integrity with his excuses and bullshitting. Can’t stand his arse, just a pompous arrogant douche

For the record. I have tons of patients who continue doing the things they enjoy (golf, hunting, fish, etc…) with torn rotator cuffs.
I’m sure it affected him. Likely was closer to 280 rounds of golf.

Mentions coaches in the NFL but did he say anything about the NFL talent he squandered?

He sees us, so let's all tell him to go frick himself in this thread.
Hey BK, go frick yourself. We're spoiled and it's not because of you!

The spoiled comment was it for me. Ungrateful prick.

Hey Brian: Go frick Yourself
Nah. He was so lazy he probably didn't even do that.
It is already documented that he hired a PR firm to help him with fan relations.
"Hey Brian, we discovered an LSU fan website named Tigerdroppings. The demographic of this website seems to skew heavily toward young and middle aged white men. They call themselves "baws" and appear to have a particular affinity for the number three hundred fifty. You might want to reference this in discussions in the future."

In a few years, you'll find him on the HOA board at Del Boca Vista, screaming at the pool cleaning guy for using to much chlorine.

What a fricking scorned sounding a-hole. Walked away with a shite Tom of money and still talks shite.

Fat Scott’s banner hire, we should keep in mind he is a guy of low character that had a kid die on his watch.

only thing i want now is for him to be the hottest coach on the market. teams lining up to buy him.

This. He still won’t take responsibility for the horrible assistant coaching hires that hastened his demise at LSU. We had talent, especially last season, but the guys were just so poorly coached that it was wasted. All you have to do is look at how much Lane Kiffin has energized the fan base thus far, and he’s only been on the job for 3 months. We never felt this hopeful under Kelly. The dude needs to shut his pie hole before somebody airs his dirty laundry for him.

I can't beat on him too much for whatever this interview was...
this is something from the links on the bottom of the screen
I mean, he acknowledged it's a different focus at LSU than it is at Notre Dame, different expectations. And he didn't win enough games, fast enough, to keep the job.
Not to defend him, because I think his time was done and I'm glad we have Kiffin now, but I do think the expectations changed mid-contract on him.
He was hired to stabilize and restore LSU, after Orgeron put up consecutive non-winning seasons (first time in decades that's happened here). He did that, LSU quickly jumped back to respectable. He stacked 8-9 win regular seasons, and his teams won their bowls. Every season was "good", and hinted at better things to follow. We just didn't take that next step fast enough, and I think the pressure got to him.
I think Kiffin will be the guy that takes us the next step.

"The easy answer is I didn't win enough games. That's the bottom line, right?" Kelly said. "We came there to build a program, and we didn't get a chance to finish it. Disappointed that we didn't get to finish the job."
quote:
"What's the difference in pressure at Notre Dame versus LSU?" Dusty Dvoracek asked. "Is it different? They are both elite, top programs. I think everybody would put them in the Top 10 jobs. What's the difference?"
"I went to Notre Dame to bring them back to relevance," Kelly said. "They had slipped off the map, if you will. Facilities had fallen behind. The love and passion for the game had slipped a bit. And, um, that was my job. You know, so from a pressure standpoint, you just focused on building a program and doing it the right way, and being consistent, and getting that program back with new facilities and a new indoor, and the stadium, and all of those things that go with getting a program back to elite status."
"When I took the LSU job, it was win or go home. It was win the national championship, or go home. So the pressure's different from that standpoint because you're, you're trying to make decisions that affect winning on the field a little bit quicker than maybe you did at Notre Dame."

Dude had one signature win - Bama at home in '22.
Imagine had we not gotten that two pt conversion
His portal pickups his first year were good but after that was garbage.
He peaked his first year getting to Atlanta then got lazy IMO

Im not going to say that when I didnt see it or hear it from someone first hand.
He was more excited to go down to cellar and get another bottle than he was after any win

BK felt LSU, the program, just kind of produced championships on its own. Who could blame him for thinking that? Miles and Orgeron both won NCs...and they didn't have anywhere close to the resume BK had when he took the job. He was going to come to LSU, get his NC (along with a ton of money) and call it a day. However, he made two mistakes:
(1) He wrongly assumed LSU just "recruited itself". Basically that great players, particularly out of Louisiana, just go to LSU as a matter of course.
(2) The future effect of the transfer rules. He utilized the portal in year 1 out of necessity. But the plan was to go back to the "old" way (signing HS players and developing them over years) and only use the portal sparingly. It's why he didn't restock the defensive talent with proven transfers in 2023 which wasted that great offensive talent. It's also why he sided with a bad OC (Sloan) because he felt that was the key to signing Underwood...at a time it was clear teams were winning with 1 year "free agent" QBs.
Contrast that with Kiffin. Yes, he is a good on-field coach. But was also quick to adapt at Ole Miss to the changing landscape to gain an advantage. He knew Ole Miss wasn't going to be able to compete with LSU, Alabama, Texas, Georgia, etc, etc, in HS recruiting. So he pivoted to using his resources in the transfer market. It's almost like the "reverse" MLB model. For example, the Rays know they don't have the money to compete with the Yankees to sign big name FAs. So they have to build and develop their roster through the farm system. In CFB it is different. The "Yankees" are the teams who can recruit the blue chip HS prospects. The "small market" teams (Ole Miss, Indiana, Texas Tech, etc) aren't going to win the HS recruiting battles often. So they build through free agency
