Will Howard is moving up because he has out played his time at Kansas st

He's moving because he's not draftable after 4 years of starting and is hoping a bigger stage might change that. He also has pressure from a highly recruited freshman QB, Avery Johnson (top 100 4 star recruit in the 2023 class), on their roster and doesn't want to possibly lose his job with just 1 year left to play

Out of all the QBs playing CFB this was one of the worst examples to compare him to

Sure, if you say so

More QBs are playing 4-5-6 years than ever before due to the covid year & transfer portal.

Penix & Jordan travis are 6th year players

Jayden & bo nix are 5th year guys

Joe burrow was a 5th year player when he went off.

It’s not a scarlet letter anymore.

Duke’s Riley Leonard is the guy, if he enters the portal.

Just saw an On3 guy say that Auburn Kentucky, Louisville, Missouri, and Washington are schools to watch for Will Howard.

This is the right level for him. He's not an SEC-winning QB. If he goes to Auburn, Kentucky, or Missouri and wins the league, I'll be the first one to say I was wrong.

With what we’ve done with Joe and now JD5, we can basically get whoever we want.

And who could ever forget that transfer before Burrow. You know.... what his name? From Purdue.

We love our transfer QBs...

This and he's already admitted to knowing that. He's just ok with it because he's anti-Nuss. Even though doing that means Nuss transfers and your backup situation isn't improved at all. It'd destroy your QB room and high school recruiting. Why would anyone come here knowing they'll never get a proper chance to start over some random "experienced" transfer?

You jest but honestly our best QBs in recent memory outside of Flynn and JaMarcus have been transfers...

Burrow
Daniels
Mettenberger
Etling (really wasn't that bad but wasn't good either)

All better than Jordan Jefferson and Jarrett Lee for sure. Let's also not forget Stephen Rivers

I hope you understand that this has no bearing on whether future transfers will work out. There are far more transfer QBs that don't work out than those that do just like any position. Also the reason those are "better" is because of how inept we were offensively under Les and the corresponding difficulty getting recruits and developing them. Nuss was highly recruited and we landed him after Burrow.

Avery Johnson was likely gonna take over his job in camp. They were a better team with him as the starter.

Let's go get him.

Then you better kidnap him. Why the hell would he leave a starting spot for back up in his last year.
