He doesn't care. He's part of the bitter "anybody but Nuss" crowd. Deathly afraid ironically that Nuss will do well and make them look bad.

LSU fans wanted Nussmeier all offseason.

Fans are stupid.

They might pursue a transfer for backup purposes. Even though the backup situation is exactly the same as it was with JD. It won't be an experienced one though as nobody is coming here to burn their remaining eligibility as a backup.

No QB with 1 year left is going anywhere without a guaranteed starting spot.

Milroe is the guy at Bama.

You honestly don’t think there was going to be a legitimate QB competition next season? Maybe Howard would have won it, maybe he wouldn’t have. Can’t take that type of chance going into your final season. I get it.

I don’t see him being enough of a difference maker to take over Nuss

I’ve watched a lot of K-State games. He’s not garbage, but he’s not talented enough to be the QB for an SEC team hoping to compete for a conference championship. K-State fans are pretty ridiculous for being as excited about Johnson as they are. Johnson is mobile, but he’s going to struggle passing next year.

Howard can run, but it’s not going to break a defense in most situations. He benefited from a strong offensive line, but he didn’t have many playmakers outside of Swinnon at tight end. I don’t see him coming in and starting ahead of Nuss.

I don’t think he would start over Nuss, but competition is good & he would be a solid experienced backup.

Probably similar to a Spencer Sanders situation (Ok St -> Ole Miss).

Obviously he has been told that they think Avery Johnson will be the starter at K-State next season

Off topic for next year, but don't we have an absolute stud QB committed coming soon?

You do realize the only other QBs on roster behind Nuss are a redshirt freshman with a handful of plays against Grambling and a true freshman, right?
It would be irresponsible to not bring in another guy with some collegiate experience.

Yeah, I think howard is a solid qb but i dont think he is the type of guy who would be guaranteed a starting spot in the sec.

I do think they will bring in a qb at lsu.

Jayden was mid until they put talent & coach around him

Same with Penix, Bo Nix, & a guy like hendon hooker last year.

You can’t let the situation get in the way of the individual player.

The 2 big stages starting next year are either the SEC or BIG10. The BIG12 and ACC will be be tier under those 2 and then the Group of 5 a step below, etc.

If what Ross Dellinger reported last week is already in the works, within 5 years there will be a break away of the top football schools from NCAA who form their own governance structure. TV Money that the BIG10 and SEC can negotiate, which will be significantly higher than what the ACC/BIG12 can negotiate and bury what the Group of 5 can will allow them to do revenue sharing with their players.

This current D1 setup FBS of 130 plus teams will go away into 2 different football groups.

The only question I have is what if those top 60-70 football schools decide to break away and do the same for basketball once the NCAA final four contract with CBS/TBS ends I think in 2030.

Would be a great get, kid has more skins on the wall than an unproven guy like Nussmeier.
