First time, went with my dad and best friend. Went to all 3 Florida games. A truly unreal experience. Went to the Matt, the Blatt, Rocco's, Barrett's, most multiple times. LSU people were everywhere. Sunday we had to scramble to get Monday tickets, not really an issue, had to change flights from Omaha to KC. Monday went to game, slept for about an hour, drove to KC and flew out at 5 am back home. Such a great experience, having watched every game but 1, thx SLU, this team, this season meant a lot, and to see it in person with my friend of almost 30 years and my dad, man it was awesome.

Back during the Round Rock Classic, I took my 12 year old to his first LSU baseball game. He loved it more then I expected.

After the RR classic was over I told my dad and my son that if we made the finals we were going to Omaha to see it.

I watched almost every game during the season. There were times when I was sure we were going to Omaha and there parts of the season when I thought they never had a chance to make it to the finals.

Five minutes after beating Wake, I called my Dad and reminded him my son and I were going and he was invited. It took a little convincing, but we headed out Friday morning. I meet my dad along the way and left his truck at a Indian casino in Oklahoma.

We took care of the hotel and game 1 tickets on the drive up Friday. After game two we hadn't bought game 3 tickets yet. My dad asked if we should just go home since it was such a bad game. I thought about but ended up saying Hell Naw, we are staying for game 3. We extended the hotel stay and bought game 3 tickets the morning of the game.

It was an awesome decision. I dont know how many more chances I might get to do stuff like this with my dad and my son.

It was priceless seeing both my guys celebrate the Championship together Monday night. My son should always remember the time he saw LSU win a National Championship with his grandfather.

They've been going to the Box since they were all born. I'm not too worried.

You can't take anything for granted. Omaha is an amazing trip, especially when LSU is there, that's why I did it this year. Your kids will want to see it too.

I don't disagree. I'm sure my kids would have loved to go, it just didn't work out like that this year. We had already been gone for 5 days on a trip for them. Initially, we were planning on bringing them, it just wasn't in the cards this time. If they had been a little older, probably would have been different.

If we can somehow get the same kind of numbers and enthusiasm for the kickoff game against FSU in Orlando, my faith in the traveling Tiger fans will be restored. Until then they still need to work on rebuilding their traveling reputation for football.

First time here as well. Life-long goal to see the Tigers win it all in Omaha. Mentioned to the wife that "if there was ever a year, this is it" and she suggested it as a Father's Day gift. Booked a hotel and the moment we beat Wake, bought tickets for games 1 & 2 right then. My boys (8 & 15) and I absolutely loved it. We didn't leave the stadium after game 3 until somewhere around 11, just soaking it in.

Such a special memory. Told my boys to think about this: the CWS has been around for ~75 years and LSU is 2nd in most wins with 7. To be there to see the Tigers win it all is truly unique and special. Something we'll never forget.

If you've never been, you need to GEAUX!

This was my first time to Omaha. I left with my dad and my son on Thursday after working all Wed. night. Drove most of the way there and watched the Wake game on the road. We never gave up hope and kept driving, just knowing our Tigers would advance to the finals. Ran into my boy jghunt at roccos and hung out with him through the weekend. Unbeknownst to me, my dog got out on Saturday night and did not return. We watched all 3 games and on the drive home we were all amazed by the title, but a little saddened by the loss of our best friend and pup. Well, we found our dog today and can now fully enjoy the wonder of watching LSU win a Natty in person. All in all one of the most emotion filled weekends of my life. So glad to spend it with my dad, son, and one of my good friends.

Second time
Flew in for first Friday and stayed till the end.
Great experience
Amazing how the number of locals absolutely love the lsu tigers etc
Ticket prices for non lsu games were almost normal
Lsu games were basically home games
My Cc is smoking after 12 days lol

The majority of Tiger fans that I talked to in Omaha were first timers. It was great to see that many Tigers getting to experience what has become our birthright.

I brought a 6 year old and 4 year old. Between them and the wife, I had to make a large number of runs to the concession stand.

Hard to believe, this was my first trip to Omaha, I’ve always had plans. Then when the Tigers quit going, didn’t matter.
A good friend of mine told me months ago, if you want tickets, we have them for you. I told them, if the Tigers make it, I’m going. So I like driving, I drove up Thursday the 15th. Then Friday I was in Omaha. I had hotel points, so that helped. I got to know the manager of the hotel. My last night in Omaha, he charged me $75 for the room.
We won, watched the celebration at the stadium. Then headed to Barrett’s Barleycorn, stayed there till about 1:30. I ended up in my hotel bed about 2:30, after dropping off my friends.
The next morning, I was wide awake at 7am, loaded up and drove straight to my house in Tx.
Would do it again, an might again next year. Oh, my friends with the tickets, they said those tickets are mine anytime I want them. They think I’m good luck, please don’t tell them any different!

Mentioned to Mrs bigdibber that we might go to Omaha if LSU made finals. She not a big sports fan to say the least.
Hair stood up on back of my neck when I heard her scream "Learn to bunt you mother frickers!"
So, first time 2500 mile R/T drive and loved it. Also stopped in Branson, K.C. and Memphis. Great trip and will go again when tigers go back next year.

First time for me also. We drove up Saturday and got SRO tickets for all 3 games. It was definitely one of the best experiences of my life!
