Maybe Brady will troll Herman the way Herman trolled LSU. Having said that, I trust O and Woodward when it comes to situations like this. frick Texas, and Herman.

Their offense is pretty good. It’s their D is the problem. Ehlinger has put up pretty good numbers

If Ensminger really loves LSU, he should give that job to Brady.

Of course he is. And Texas fans will tell LSU how they have more money than God.

This is how agents get their clients top dollar. Make it known that other people are interested. Not a hard sell in this case as everyone knows that Brady will be a hot commodity.

Really?

Why would Coach Brady be tweeting 1-0 after the Alabama and ATM games if he had no intention of staying?

Say it ain't so, Joe Brady!

This.

The other good thing about Brady is that he went to William & Mary, and not a big school that he might want to go back to, or a conference that he knows well.

I think...HOPE...that Brady knows what he has here and, more than likely, the job will be his alone in the not too distant future - I mean, let's be real here.

Besides, why leave a National Championship contender for a school that lives in the past and cannot even make a strong claim to being one of the best three teams in their own state year after year.

The other factor in play is one of loyalty. Coach O gave Brady a chance to change LSU’s offense and leave his mark on college football, which he has. You have to think, given that LSU will pay him, that Joe feels compelled to stay a couple seasons atleast.

many posters on here it’s been the foundation of O and Slinger that is the main reason for the offensive success
Credit O for seeking the changes and letting it take this course. Credit CSE for the lack of ego, and making it work.

My opinion, as it stands now, it takes both CSE and Brady for this to work. For one, the experience in game planning and recruiting/evals that CSE brings only enhances what Brady brings to the table. And Brady brings innovation and adjustments that CSE implements/gameplans that Brady alone wouldn't be able to do. Not to mention there is the trust factor. If it was just Brady in that booth Orgeron would probably "meddle" too much. When both CSE and Brady say "hell no, let's score... we can do it" then Orgeron is on board. Just one of those, it probably doesn't happen.

And therein lies the problem with any OC working for a 'offensive genius' HC. Ego, meddling, stick to the system (lack of innovation), etc. CSE and Brady are working with a model that's not been tried at this level before. Why resort to the old model, especially for an 'offensive genius' who is going to overrule every damn thing you do.

Herman is likely to be fired after next season, so why move when LSU is prepared to pay him $1.5M to remain on staff.

Keep in mind that Steve Ensminger was a part of this new offense and was witness to how this entire season unfolded. I assure you that Steve Ensminger can run this Ferrari too.

Didn't O and E meet Brady when they went to learn from Pete Carmichael. He was an analyst and he kinda took over the presentation of the rpo. They were so impressed by him that they hired him. So while E might have witnessed it he still learned this style of offense from Brady less than a year ago. I wouldn't be so sure that Ensminger or anyone would just pick up where Brady left off. It's not just the playbook that matters with Brady.

And all we have is being in the top-3 for assistants pay for what... 12 years in a row now?

It's one thing to have money. It's another to spend it on homeless bums instead of your coaches.

We pay our coaches, and have for a long time now. We have the track record, they have the endowment.

This is not false...but paying two coordinators approximately $2mil a year a piece is unchartered waters

elite recruiting. They've had top 3 classes the last two years. Eventually that should translate on the field.

Look what he just did tonight; he fired 3 coaches an re-assigned a 4th.

I dont remember see something like that go down in one night. Herman clearly feels the heat and is looking to make a splash. Brady is a hot name, they have the money, and that hire would look great on paper.

But back to your original point; Herman is their offensive guy. LSU is going to pay Brady, i do not see TX as a threat.

Theres nothing to worry about here, Brady already signed his raise and extension and it will be approved this week. He would not work for a controlling offensive guy like Herman

If O wins the NC this year, I'm positive that he will push some of his raise towards Brady.

Not surprising that he’s sought after.
