re: Joe brady is doing amazing but he's not the main reason we're great now on offense

This is correct.

The ability to put in a system that not only is successful and difficult to defend...but is defined and a good basis for QB development (see Burrow last year vs this year) is the difference.

Finally, E deserves his respect too. He put in Peyton Manning level preperation and work in a job he reportedly wasn't interested in before. We all heard coach O brag about the mattress in the office and late late nights. He was mature and selfless and transitioned to this new duo roll with brady so damn well.

Being a hard worker without on field results should not be a compliment. Yes he slept in the office last year and the offense was terrible.

What's the only difference this year? Brady.

Our offense would be no different than last year had Brady not come. Otherwise you're saying Ensminger intentionally used a worse offense than he could have last year, which makes no sense. He didn't use this offense because he isn't capable of running it without Brady.

Please put credit only where due.

Brady's scheme is fantastic, but Burrow + the WRs is the story. Burrow finds the open guys, and I don't think he's missed a pass yet that I've seen (meaning, I don't recall any underthrown, overthrown, or passes behind the WR). And what, zero drops... that's been huge too.

I don’t know what you’ve been watching but our run game is not better than it use to be if anything the production has dropped

It’s all Brady and Burrow

It’s a great scheme and having a quarterback making the right reads makes it look easy

I see blocking as good. Not superb. They have had trouble picking up blitzers and different rush packages. And run blocking is not great. As a matter of fact we haven't really run the ball all that well. And receivers aren't dropping because the drfense has to cover more field and there are less tight spaces to catch the ball in. This is due to scheme and coaching. You can give credit to whoever you choose.

The biggest fix is the offensive line. They were an abomination vs good fronts last year and average, usually, vs regular teams.
Now they're pass protection is night and day, holes are opening up in runs much more often, and there's not been a bad blown assignment by the blindside.

i stopped here because this statement is in direct correlation to the new offense Joe Brady installed...This year vs last year Oline is yes better but the offense also helped with that

I can agree with the OP to a degree about the OL. They have improved in passing protecting a bit. Nothing spectacular though. Texas gave them fits but Joe has had great pocket awareness to buy time. Another reason the OL looks better is that the ball is coming out much quicker. This is because 15 - 20 yard routes aren't being run on 3rd down. The routes are quick and the time the OL has to block is less than in the pass.

As far as opening up holes for the run. I have to disagree. Even against lesser competition, they haven't been able to open up holes. This is a problem. They should be able to make big holes against Ga Southern and Vandy. This will be an issue against our UF, AU, Bama. More pressure will be placed on the passing game.

Brady is the primary guy responsible for the improvement on offense. CSE has been a class act in checking his ego at the door and being a true Tiger in getting this Brady offense implemented. Burrow has accepted the challenge in learning the new plays and working intensely to learn the system, couple that with his knowledge of reading defenses, which we saw last year.

Brady is also the one that is responsible for less drops as well with his challenge to the WR's and drills he brought with him.

This is a solid post and captures that there a number of factors - Burrow is our best QB since Bert Jones (maybe better) , our O Line is deep and good, our receivers are the best ever ( yes better and deeper than Odell and Juice), Brady and Ensminger’s offense is the most imaginative in college football, and Coach O is to be credited with allowing Coaches E and B to go wide open. Many factors contributing to the best offense we have had in my lifetime.

The Oline has to get some credit for Joe's success. The wideouts and tight ends are also better at blocks. Last year there were many penalties on successful plays that negated first downs and killed drives.

Joe is the one who is finding the open man in the schemes and gets much credit for his study and execution.

And thanks Joe Brady

You’re right. The line wasn’t as bad as most think last year. We just didn’t scheme well to take out the edge rushers. We do now. We also were only giving Burrow two targets last year to throw to. Now he has 5 most of the time.

Will Wade said it best.
It's been a seamless transition to the new offense.
WR's running crisp routes and not dropping the ball.
QB on target, making right reads, ball is there in their breaks which makes it easier for YAC yardage.
O line protection has been much better than last year.
The continuity on the line has been much better.

Burrow has under thrown three deep balls. And threw one ball in the end zone behind the receiver trying to fit it in. One int when he did not see the defender. Very very low error rate. He did have that brain dead flop last week against Vandy as he was running out of bounds. In Tuscaloosa that is a turnover. Again he has been great.

The route concepts are Brady’s. The RPO stuff is Brady. He is not the only one who could do this. But he is our guy.. credit Orgeron and Ensminger for having the courage to take the risk and make the change.

It's a very good quarterback and an innovative offensive mind (Brady) willing to utilize all of the talent that LSU has in its disposal!

Burrow has been really good, but credit the scheme for having WRs running wide open consistently. Without Brady none of this is happening

Second biggest is the drops, again, are night and day difference.

Our sure hands are a huge difference.

Dropped passes kill drives.

The WR’s learning and running the offense in one offseason is phenomenal.
